I was watching a YouTube video about a scam AF15 and am trying to figure out the cover beneath the scam book. I’ve been searching for an hour or so. Not much to work with but you guys are pretty good at this stuff. Looks to have a grey Russian or Japanese jet or plane on it.

Unfortunately no. This is the only pic he could snag. It looks a bit better enlarged. Maybe I can get ahold of the guy and see if he can email me the original picture he took.

This has a look of a 15-25 cent Marvel (horror?). Is that a Comics Code box at top-right?

Definitely looks like a comics code box. Much closer to the right edge of the page. They moved closer to the left (in Marvel books)just a few years later I noticed.

I watched Minthunters video yesterday. Crazy stuff.

I've met some doozies in not-so-nice places over the many years I've been collecting in an attempt to purchase inexpensive books. Most were pleasant and resulted in a positive transaction, but some weren't.

I won't do it anymore though. I'm too old to take that (example) 5% chance that the seller is a loony bin.

1980s --> 2020: meeting strangers in strange places for comics & traveling on NYC subway system - yes
2020's onward: No effin way for either.

It's a Loony Toon jungle out there lately; and I aint talking Bugs Bunny.
