I don't think the packages have been shipped. I have USPS Informed Delivery and the Fedex and UPS equivalents and I have not received any notifications about any incoming packages. Not a foolproof system, but certainly worrying.

@iamthemaster thanks for clarifying that. I may have misread your post in the other thread and assumed they were on the way.

I started busting his balls after 6 weeks. The “Steve will take care of me” philosophy was never in my approach to this situation. Also, I’m aware things may have been bad or busy for him but things are bad or busy for a lot of people. And if that’s the case, one doesn’t continue to put books for sale and accept money.

It was stated in this thread three times by three different individuals that have gotten a hold of Steve that everyone's packages were expected to be shipped out starting somewhere around 1/5. That's why I was also assuming they were on the way.

Has everyone's Paypal window closed yet?

If your Paypal window has closed....check with your credit card company (if your PayPal funding source is a credit card) and see if you have any recourse there.

Best of luck.

Some payment forms don't offer protection, such as Zelle. They may have been out of luck the instant they issued payment.

Paypal Friends & Family and Venmo as well. Once you send that, it's gone.

That's my situation. Really, for me, it's not about the money. I didn't spend that much. It's just a shame that it's come to all this.

I've told my kids their whole lives that it takes a long time and a good bit of effort to build up a good reputation but it only takes one bad action - whether intentional or otherwise - to destroy a reputation. I'm sure they get tired of hearing that but this situation is a prime example.

Due to several factors, Card Issuers will report it to the Authorities as fraud. Regardless of the personal reasons that is what it is legally.

I feel for Steve but his promises are now worthless. That also includes dealing with him at clink.

He could have simply refunded the money and ended the situation. Sad for him and those who were the victims

I don't think credit card companies are reporting to the local authorities concerning $200 or $300 charge backs. I could be wrong, but I have never been contacted by any authorities when I have had to initiate a charge back refund on my end. One was in the UK and over $200. I would have loved to have gotten a phone call from Scotland Yard.

Did not realize the amounts at play.

Given the small amounts it truly makes the situation more and more sad as Steve merely did not choose to issue refunds.

His awful personal circumstances aside has he really fallen into such deep financial ruin?

I very much pity Steve and those who are now victims due to his failures.

@The_Watcher & I had a conference call with @SteveBorock tonight.
Steve wants everyone to know he has had an absolute horrific year and a half and he is sorry this happened and it was never on purpose.
He will be getting all of the packages out by the end of this week.
I know many of you have said kind things about him in the past, please understand that he has just had one calamity after the next, but he will make it right

Why does he not simply refund the money rather than another round of i promise to send the stuff.

A few presses on his phone and done. Seems less stressful for him and gets it off his plate. Another round of broken promises is not in his best interest, it will make make appear even more unstable.

My sympathies and well wishes to Steve.

It sounds like that money has already been spent and there's none left to issue any refunds.

This isn't directed at any one person, but those assumptions are based on nothing. Maybe he's broke. Maybe he isn't. How would you or I know?

Let's just stick to what we do know. He sold books, accepted payment, and hasn't shipped them. He either sends the books or he doesn't. The reasoning behind the motivation won't really change the outcome.

From what I've heard elsewhere, he's had time to attend comic cons and dinners with friends. Just not ship the books. But he feels terrible about it, in case anyone's wondering.

Hey all.....😞
Sorry is not enough! My world went upside down the last year and a half.🤬

Family life is very hard/depressing at the moment. Between family trouble, friends needing help, getting ripped off, my new meds screwed me up, car accidents, stays in hospital, OCD came back after many years, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.......... it was extremely hard to function, to say the least!

Also, even like that I still needed to work and pay bills, I love what I do, but it was very tough to function during this time. I might even have lost a few "friends"

Anxiety and depression are hard to work through. Still no excuse.

I would never steal from anyone! I have had millions and millions of books from others, why would I steal so little when I could borrow that amount in a New York minute? Also, why ruin my life for that kind of money? I'm back in action, just sorry it took so long and that it might have affected your view of me, but more important, I am concerned about ComicLink as this has nothing to do with them, it's all on me. Josh Nathanson is family to me, has been for many, many years. He is probably one of the most honest persons I have ever met! I would never, ever, want to tarnish his great name or ComicLinks amazing rep!

I am very sorry that things went sideways with that sweet woman. CL and I are working hard to make this better than right for her.

As to the stuff I am planning on shipping out so damn late:

If you want a refund and some free comics, please PM me.

If you still want your order with free comics, please PM me as well.

If you feel the need, PM me and we will work something out.

The quicker the PM, the quicker I can get you what you need/want.

I have tried my very best to teach ethics in our great hobby as well trying to be a diplomat for us, teaching collectors (and even many dealers), helping people that are new navigate this complicated hobby/community, so they don't get ripped off, working for our hobby's great charity the Hero Initiative, given away more dollars than dimes to help others and have always tried to be fair to all my clients, as I hate thieves and hate seeing people lose money.

Please ask collectors and sellers about me and you will see that this is not like me at all, ever. Sometimes life gets too heavy and you feel like a poor fractured Atlas, as I did. The thing is to get through it and fix anything you messed up.

I want to thank all the people that kept their faith in me and reaching out to see what was up. I also want you all to know that even if you thought I was a thief, I am cool with that. I get it. I do not harbor any bad feelings about that, none at all. I hope none of you harbor resentment towards me. That's just the way that forums go.

I am probably not explaining everything to some's liking, but my family and my friends problems are not for public consumption. It would be unfair of me to do that to them.

Looking forward to hearing from those whose books have not shipped and make everything right.

Peace and love to you all! 🙏

☮️💖

BTW.....
The guys who ripped me off for big money are Ricky (Richard) Cicero and he lives in Ellenton FL.
His friend is Sabastian Begani.

@sborock_ComicLink

In the scheme of things (turn on the news) this is small potatoes and easily fixable. Just fix everything and apologize, it'll work out. I was never worried personally.

As you said why would you steal chocolate bars when you had lots of gold bars in front of you.

Josh is great as well as comic link, they are almost always my first choice selling larger items.

Best of luck everyone.
