| Does anyone have any information on this comic either cbcs or cgc 9.4 extensive restored? I didn't know that a comic book that old could receive a grade like that. I am a collector but love learning every chance I get. If a golden age professional restored comic book comes up this high grade in another issue in the future is it worth buying? Any information is appreciated. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays. | ||

| You really have to assess how extensive the restoration is. I ended up passing on 6.0 Restored Detective issue of that era that was being sold at a pretty good price because I just thought the restoration looked too extensive. To me it had lost much of its historical value because the restoration was so well done that it was hard to tell where the real book ended and the restoration began. I'd honestly rather have a 2.5 restored of the same book with less resto, that appears more original. It's really up to you and what appeals to you. But be aware of what all was done with the book so that you don't have any surprises. I definitely feel that Golden age restored books are undervalued and that might not always be the case. And it's a great way to be able to afford certain books that are otherwise unattainable in a Universal grade. |
