| Hi Boardies, I have been looking for a Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #1 first print, for a number of years. I have only been able to find it way above FMV, not sure why that is. I found a raw one on HipComic for 49 dollars. This seems like a very fair price for a first print with some minor issues, the seller does not list a grade for it. I'd much rather get a first print in a slab or from someone on this forum. Is anyone selling one? please reply to this thread with pictures or if your feel more comfortable, PM me. I don't mind paying more if graded. There's a 7.0 raw graded by My Comic Shop for 125.00. I'd pay that for a slabbed comic book. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best. Thanks! |

| @SpiderTim, Although I'd love to have your book in my collection, it's a bit too expensive for my budget. I'm more in the 100-150 dollar range. Thanks for the offer. If I were you, I don't think I could let that book go. |

| @BigRedOne1944 you wouldn't think so, but I've been seriously looking for about 2 weeks, though I have been checking out cons and online stores. I've checked ebay, but the only good books are out of my range, I can get a raw for that much but I'd rather get a graded copy. I have some saved searches, I may have to wait the prices are right for me. |

| I believe the book is fairly plentiful as it is anything but rare, but it indeed does pay to be patience when choosing the right book for YOU. The book is a major historic key book in the hobby and it does often come with and inflated price, especially higher grades. You will find the right one eventually! | ||
