| As you may know I no longer sell directly on ebay (Ebay's decision). However, I still follow their policies. Seems like they have found a new way to make more money. Please note changes for sellers on ebay.com and ebay.ca starting from Jan 13th to promoted listings. | Another ridiculous reach into the Seller's pocket by eBay. I never subscribed to Promoted Listings, not going to feed the greedy beast. I'm sure it has cost me in visibility and sales, but I'm not giving in to extortion. Just another reason to hate that stupid company. Unless you have high margin products, eBay can make more than you do on your stuff and effort. That's backwards. With so many emerging platforms competing with eBay, you would think they would be chopping rates to retain market share. Instead, they are doubling down on the take from those who remain. That is not sustainable, and a recipe for failure. |
