Ebay sellers - promoted listings22075

Collector poka private msg quote post Address this user
As you may know I no longer sell directly on ebay (Ebay's decision). However, I still follow their policies. Seems like they have found a new way to make more money.

Please note changes for sellers on ebay.com and ebay.ca starting from Jan 13th to promoted listings.

The new definition of a promoted listing sale is:

"Any buyer purchases the promoted item within 30 days of any click on the ad, regardless of whether the buyer themselves clicked on the ad"

if does not have to be the buyer who viewed the item. as long as ANYONE viewed the item within 30 days it counts as a promoted sale

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Seems like a pretty straightforward request to not use promoted listings.

Another ridiculous reach into the Seller's pocket by eBay.

I never subscribed to Promoted Listings, not going to feed the greedy beast. I'm sure it has cost me in visibility and sales, but I'm not giving in to extortion. Just another reason to hate that stupid company.

Unless you have high margin products, eBay can make more than you do on your stuff and effort. That's backwards.

With so many emerging platforms competing with eBay, you would think they would be chopping rates to retain market share. Instead, they are doubling down on the take from those who remain. That is not sustainable, and a recipe for failure.

I never stopped.

I have sold some non-comic items through eBay lately and it is a pain in the ass.

I don't care if it takes MCS four weeks to get my stuff listed or not. It's worth it. I sold 12 S shaped shower hooks to someone in Puerto Rico. You would have thought I was shipping gold bars. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the wee donkey they rode in on, what a damn production... and for maybe $3 profit.

MCS can have it and they are welcomed to it.
