I don't even care for it as a drawing. A classic Neal Adams Batman cover probably wouldn't fetch close to this. So strange to me.

Saw an interview with McFarlane on that cover. He said he was under a time crunch and just did as little as possible. He basically said there isn't anything to it. Just a lot of cape. He laughed that it was such a popular cover.
