| Man, for me, this one hits hard!!! The first album I ever owned was KISS: Alive II. I grew up loving KISS. Each of my 3 kids' first concert was KISS (3 separate concerts). Their music is still a big part of my life. Ace will be missed.  |

| I remember seeing a Kiss poster "dressed to Kill" in 1975 or so. My Piano teacher had it up in the classroom. I didn't know who they were till about a year later (or whenever Kiss Alive came out). | ||

This takes me back, I used to play Destroyer all the time that Shout It Out Loud, Flaming Youth, and Detroit Rock City melted into one song in my head. The summer after kindergarten we saw a replay of some shark movie in Center City Philly for 25 cents each. Beth had looped before the movie started, and I was like, amazing, I know this ballad and what a sharp contrast to the other songs on the album (and to the movie)! Then we watched this shark eating people and the crowd was laughing, saying, “If I heard shark, I wouldn’t run towards the water” but that was Center City for ya  I still look over my shoulder for predators when I open swim. The “trauma” stuck 🤣 I bought my first cassettes at Zayre’s (now TJ Maxx and Marshall’s). At the discount store, there wasn’t much of a selection but I am a ‘70s kid, so I picked up Donna Summers’ A Love Trilogy, Linda Ronstadt’s Prisoner In Disguise, and most importantly KISS’s Destroyer, all for the piggy bank breaking total of $5.97! KISS was a big part of my early music appreciation days, before I caught onto New Wave and Punk around ‘83. Thanks for the memories! RIP Space Ace! |

| @BigRedOne1944 Don't get me started on the KISS Army. When I was a kid (probably 10 or so), I asked my mom for $5 to send in to join the KISS Army. She gave me the money and I was pumped! I sent in my payment and watched my mailbox for days... weeks... months. Nothing! I'll be 58 next month and that still bothers me to this day. But I still love KISS and Ace. |

In 1990 we spent a month out with Ace. He had an infectious laugh, a crazy sense of humor, and was quite an inspiration (good and bad) for how to roll around the country having a good time. Although those crazy days are long gone, the memories still remain strong. Rest Well Good Sir! From Terry, Kinley, Chris, Jimmy, Rusty, Russ, Tommy and JC... WE SALUTE YOU! |
