I picked up my "Monster and the Wolf" books today. Here's what I got. - No Golden Tickets

The top 3 are foil covers.

The bottom left is a Glow-In-The-Dark cover.

This was a lot of fun opening and I'm happy with what I got. Really cool covers!

I picked up one of these this year in honor of my grandfather who was 37 and a practicing surgeon when he volunteered to serve in World War II. Stationed at land based mobile hospitals and on various ships in the Pacific Fleet, he was always very proud of his Naval service but would never talk about the details. I probably wouldn't either.

@figment My uncle was a medic in the Pacific during WW2. I never heard him talk about it, either. I can only imagine what he went through.

I think the colors really pop on this Pink Panther.

More books from Grumpy old man's comics, I just can't help myself with pretty bronze age..

Purchased this from @Poka
Who doesn't want A Supergirl tryout comics book. This comics book came out in 1958 and Supergirl's (the one we know now) first appearance was in Action Comics #252 in May 1959.

I’m waiting for mine to come in. Did not get any glow in dark, but did get a couple of 1:700.

@OGJackster Looks like a nice variety. I saw a lot of people say it appeared they were not shuffled great before making it to the shops. I know they are not for everyone but I think they are pretty cool.

Just got my first PSA slab. Wanted to see how they compared to the CGC/CBCS/PGX slabs. It looks nice, but very dense. Similar to the trading card slabs, but just on a different, larger scale. I've always loved this cover for some reason. 1st Warbird Costume and its a Mark Jeweler, so thought it'd be a good book to own in a slab. All in ~$50

My first bound volume purchase this year and my first Harvey file set in about two years. This one is a beauty! By far the nicest Alfred Harvey monthly set I have ever seen. The Alfred monthly sets are notoriously dingy, usually with tan pages and sometimes varying amounts of moisture damage. This one is sharp and clean with excellent page quality. Collects all Harveys cover dated May 1962, including a couple of first issues and Richie Rich #10, a hard comic to find in any condition.
