All these books I picked up at Ancient comics in Washington. Not the highest grade but hey they are what they are..

Total cost including Washington state tax is.....$66

Aren't local comic shops really cool and cheap?

part 1 of the Final Fantasy 7 remake is coming to Xbox in January; so you don’t need a PS5 🫣

Cool book. I run across Mark Jewelers variants purely accidentally. I would not pay a premium for it.

Normally I dont care, but ive been trying to get every variant of this book. I have a ton of cpv of this and quite a few newsstands. I might actually have more copies of this than the first black cat, and that is one of my favorites by far.

I have thought about it, and there's no safe way to answer this question.

@drmccoy74 I've been looking for spine ticks and can't seem to find any.

There is a spine tick in the yellow, but I don't think it breaks color. The notes are

Notes:
spine stress & minor impact top spine

The top of the spine looks more like a burr and less like an impact dent.

I also picked up this tatty old rag. It is definitely in need of a press. It has waves and dents galore.

I don't blame you....personally, I love those old CGC cases, so keeping the book in those cases is good.

Many people say CGC graded harder back then....with your observation that a Press will help + "easier" grading (although CBCS grades tough), maybe you'd get a significant grade bump.

It has some tanning, so that makes me leary of sending it to CBCS. I remember what happened the last time I sent them a book with tanning.

As much as it hurts my soul to say it, if I did submit it to be regraded, I'd probably send it to the cgc.

If ever a book need a press, it is this one.
