When spending that kind of money ($45 - $50) on a new book, the nice word is FOMO.
However, I tend to think of it this way.
Sell now!

It's a small local show. I go every year, and it's usually just the same people with the same stuff. The main reason I was going was to drop off a sketch cover for a commission. I didn't really plan on buying anything, and then I found the guy with a short box full of EC. He had a complete run of Piracy, among other things. And I never see 1980s 2000AD either.

@HulkSmash I think that I have all the raw copies and waiting for CBCS to have a Promotion to send them in for grading.

I like them for celebrity autographs. I've got a Black Bolt ready for Anson Mount in a couple months.

Yes, the Whitman variants were an early experiment in direct sales. They were sold in multi-packs on a non returnable basis. The reason for the Whitman logo is so the retailers could not simply open up the bags and return unsold issues for credit.

Another one for my 11/71 Collection. Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #93. No label notes as it is a reprint issue. Apparently, the new art work on the cover drew itself. This is also the Northland copy and came complete with the pedigree certificate.

I discovered I know the seller. He's not a stranger in my face who says he knows my mom and went to my high school.

I took @flanders advice and picked these up on Clink. I have one cover left to get, and I'll be seeing Jim Lee next month at MegaCon.

@lawguy1977 congrats. I'm glad you found some good deals. It can be addicting though. I'm trying to control myself for the moment and not buy anything new until I sell off a bunch of stuff first.

@flanders I feel they were spot on.
I had the Locke & Key pegged at 9.8
And had the Next Men at 9.6 with very slight color rub. They called it "surface wear" so im guessing theyre one and the same.

This company usually impresses me and very close to my assessments I record just for me
