I kind of went on a buying spree over the last month. Five books total, although I'm only including two in this post. Two more will be posted tonight or tomorrow.

First off, Brave and the Bold #75. Neal Adams Batman and Spectre, high grade, nicely centered and a CGC old label. What's not to like?

Next up, another ACG Truevision book off my list, although this one is not as obvious as the others in that it does not have a Truevision (3D effect) cover. It does have one Truevision story in it though. I assume it's a leftover story that had already been completed when ACG decided to stop releasing full Truevision books. This copy is one of only two 9.0s in the CGC Census, tied for the highest grade. No copies of this book are listed in the CBCS Population Report.

@James42 Sukesha “Sushi” Ray. Super nice lady. It came out even better because I took it back to her and had her add more color to it. Paid more of course.

So, my mother knows very little about comics. But she does have a disposable income and an addiction to internet auctions. Which is why I have a Bob Kane sketch of Batman, despite the fact I am not a fan of Kane or Batman.

Which brings me to this. Last Monday was my birthday, and I guess she saw this and hit her bid button.

The signature is verified by someone I have never heard of, but what makes it interesting is that someone had a random newsstand book signed. I have not decided if I am going to send it for grading or not.

I didn’t attend SDCC, but my daughter did. I asked her to take some pictures of wall books, which she did and I posted them in the thread on conventions. She also said she only had about an hour or so to wander around (she was doing freelance work for MTV for this event), and asked me if their was one or two people she should check out. I told her if I were there, I would check out Jim Lee and Alex Ross’s booths, and I gave her the booth numbers for both artists. She told me it was difficult walking around because of how many people were there, but she did get to go to Alex Ross’s booth, and she said she was impressed by his work. Well this weekend, I received a package from her with the below book in it. As a bonus, she included a Krypto card, and as a second bonus, it’s not a banana!

Filling in holes to my McFarlane ASM newsstand run

I regretted not picking this one up at NYCC last year, but I had 3 to pick from at Terrificon

Terrificon '25 Signed Book Quest 2024/2025 books:

If you haven't read this book yet, what are you doing???
Charles Soule:

Brian Posehn:

Chris Giarusso:

Jonathan Hickman (the next two):

Bought this with the Gleason signature off his website, was excited to add Hickman.

Hoping that I will have the chance to catch Maria Wolf at a show someday, and have her sign over the smudge on the logo.

My favorite recent JRJR cover! He was super nice to every person in line.

As much as I do not like using CGC; when the Ian Mckellen signing came up, I jumped on it.
If I had to wait for CBCS to do an Ian Mckellen signing, I'd be in the ground.

Thankfully, no bends on the book (although it's the "thick" dark knight binding). No cracks, No debris, no clouds on the interior of plastic. Yea - pretty happy with it.

Part Two: Terrificon '25 Signed Book Quest older books:

Got Bob Hall to sign last year, and this year Claremont goes "Bob stole my spot!!"

Walt Simonson wrote the first World of Warcraft comic adaptation, this is the ashcan I found in the middle of a dollar bin of an estate sale overflow warehouse.

Walt Simonson also signed my #1 of what I think would've been a way better run of Eternals to adapt for film.

Chaykin charges $5 extra for this book, which I received as a secret Santa gift off the View Askew forums circa 2004. It was perfect until last year, when the tape on the back of a bag accidentally got stuck to the back page....but it's my childhood copy, so of course it's the one I needed to get signed!

Easily one of my favorite covers ever. Frank using the light gun gets me every time.

Joe Jusko said this was his favorite project he did "from start to finish".

All in all great con once again, that focuses on creators with a hint of Hollywood (instead oF the other wAy arouNd)

Kept my eyes open for years to find this reasonably priced. I have a weak spot for ashcans and mini books. I have one more dvd mini promo to find to complete the spidey set, but I’m not sure it existed in the retail market.
