I am looking to get this signed. Was curious how this would affect grade?

Welcome to the forum!

Unless the signee damages it, none. I've had sketches and remarks on comics that did not affect the grade. Just make sure it's witnessed unless you want to pay extra for a verification.

Are you looking to get it signed at a show?

It is minor chipping on the corners.

On square bound books, sometimes a dull blade will cause chipping on the corner. If the book is known for having the chipping, sometimes a grader will not ding the book for damage. The only way I know to tell is send it in and hope they don't drop it a grade because of the damage.

The key to me is, how much is the book worth and is having the book graded worth the cost of grading. I don't know what the value if that book is, but I suspect the grading will cost more than the books' value.
