![]() CBCS is excited to announce a signing with the legendary David Michelinie! He will be attending @oafcon_ok in Norman, Oklahoma, from September 26 to 28. David is known for co-creating several major characters, including: Venom (Eddie Brock), Carnage (Cletus Kasady), James Rhodes, Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Taskmaster, Ghost, and Madame Xanadu. -Each signature will be $40, which does not include grading fees or add-ons. -All books must be received by 9/16/2025 at our Plano office. Please mail all books to Beckett/CBCS headquarters with the following heading: CBCS – David Michelinie Signing 2700 Summit Ave Ste 100, Plano, TX 75074 How to submit: 1. Go to www.cbcscomics.com and log in (or create a free account). 2. Click “Submit Collectibles” on the left side of your profile’s dashboard. 3. Click “Add Comic” and fill in the information. 4. Under “Add Authentic” enter David Michelinie. Use today’s date, and we will adjust when the signing is completed. 5. If there are any previously existing signature(s) on the comic that CBCS did not witness, select “Add Verified” and the signer’s name. Repeat for each unwitnessed signature on the comic. 6. Check your book to see if there are any undesirable bends or indents that can be improved with pressing. If so, select “Press” for each comic that you would like professionally pressed by our experts. 7. Repeat these steps for each book, complete the checkout, and then print your invoice and include it in your submission to CBCS. Book Prep Requirements: 1. All books must arrive bagged and boarded with pre-cut signature windows (large enough for the signing in your preferred location). 2. Unprepared books will incur a $5 prep fee per book. 3. You can submit encapsulated comics for the signing, but we cannot guarantee that the original grade will be retained. There is no fee to crack open any previously encapsulated books. 4. Write your NAME, EMAIL, INVOICE NUMBER (automatically generated after you complete the checkout process – you can find it in the top right corner of your invoice), and “DAVID MICHELINIE” on the back of each backing board. 5. You may include a signature color request, but these cannot be guaranteed. The creator has the final say on any color, placement, remarques and/or quotes. In the event of any cancellation, books will be returned or rescheduled as appropriate. Payment: Signature fees and add-ons will be charged once your books are received. Card payments only – NO CASH OR CHECKS ACCEPTED. Invoicing Guidelines: To avoid delays, please keep the following on separate invoices: - Magazines vs. Comics - Pressing vs. Non-pressing comics - Express vs Non-express comics - Signing vs Non-signing comics - Each signing event requires its own invoice *Express turnaround times begin once the signing event is over and CBCS has received the comics at HQ. | I have a CBCS 9.6 Amazing Spider-Man 361 I'm thinking about sending for this, though considering my last 9.4 that I sent in for a press and regrade came back as a 9.0 I'm really reconsidering... | ||

| @Silversorrow I too was considering but will likely hold...picked up a 8.5 CBCS newsstand with the check mark a while ago for next to nothing....book length indent? on back cover hence the low grade and the check mark - I think a press could do wonders!! | ||

| I have a #300 CBCS 9.8 signed by McFarlane. Although the thought did pass through my head for a mere 0.86 seconds, it will remain a passing thought for all of time. |

| I have a few questions about my submission before sending it off for this signing. I'm looking to send in my yellow label CBCS book that already has witnessed signatures. When selecting the comic summary would I select the modern or witnessed signature category? Also, do I add just David for the authentic signature or do I also need to add the other two authenticated signatures that I already have on the book as well? I would also like to have my book pressed, but if I select the Witnessed Signature category for the comic summary it doesn't allow me to select pressing as an add on option for the order. Here is the book below in question, and thank you for anybody that can offer any advice. ![]() |

| @Chandler don’t crack it! Send it as is. Those are the 2 things I think I know. I’m not sure on the process for existing witnessed sigs. @Wade_Story help |

Quote:Originally Posted by HulkSmash Oh ya thanks for that advice, I'm not brave enough myself to crack it out. Even so I would rather send it in the slab for the extra protection during shipping, cracking fee be damned. I've usually just sent in either unsigned comics for slabbing or ones that just needed signature verification in the past. |

| @Silversorrow That's a gut punch. Sorry it happened. Purists will say "well perhaps something happened during the autographing process". ahhhhh... ummmmmm .... unlikely. It's more likely the silly subjectivity / another set of eyes that to this day, frustrates me beyond I can state. Time for AI to start grading so this horsesh*t "different grade, different day" ceases |
