Speaking as someone who was hacked a few years ago...and learned the hard way why internet security is critical, I highly recommend reading this Forbes article if you are te type who doesn't pay close attention to internet security, and that encompasses most people....and heeding the advice given. And now with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau being largely gutted by the US gov' and the CFPB dropping its' lawsuits against "predatory banks" if you do get hacked, you are getting set up to be screwed even harder. In short, 2 factor authentication is easily hacked....yes, even the newest iphone with the latest software updates can have their phone number spoofed by any competent hacker. So, replace your passcodes with a security key. The industry standard is Yubikey, but if you don't want to have to keep a physical key, than Google Authenticator App is the next best thing. The article explains all this, and the steps to take, in depth. I suggest reading it in full, as well as the articles it links in full. I would also suggest changing your wi-fi password, and getting a new wi-fi network name....and check your wi-fi connected devices on your home network.
