So, if I sell books on eBay (auction or flat rate), I worry about scammers, intentional damage to force a return, buyer’s remorse returns, fraudulent returns (sending a different/poorer quality book back), charge backs, etc. Now with MyComicShop, they sell my book (auction or flat rate), they pack and ship it, but do I have to worry about returns? Fraudulent returns? Damage returns? Charge backs? If not, it seems MCS would be better less aggravating for me to deal with. I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had a problem with eBay, though I’ve heard some horror stories. Am I safer with MCS? Book values are about $150 to $400 on average. |

I closed my eBay account back in 2019 because of the bullshite. I started selling off my collection to MCS about a year ago. So far, no problems that I've seen, although it can take weeks for them to get consignments ready because of the large influx of items they get. I'm still waiting on 3 slabs I sent to go up for sale, and it's been two weeks already. That's the biggest gripe I have, and it pales in comparison to eBay's shenanigans in the last 8 to 10 years.

Write to consign@mycomicshop.com and get the info from them. I've been using MCS for years and if there has ever been a return to them for any reason I haven't seen it.

I use MCS for consignments, satisfied with the service, just sent 40 more slabs there. Yes, it can take a few weeks for them to process, as opposed to loading onto eBay in minutes. But they charge 10% instead 13%, which is good. And you don't have to go through all the listing and selling steps, just ship a bunch of books to 1 place. And no Return hassles, that's big. I do think the books sell for a bit less, and slower, but the market isn't what it used to be at any venue. If you go to the MCS main page and click on Consignments, all the info you need is on that link. Very responsive customer service, too. |

I have sold everything for $15 slabs to $2500 slabs and not had an issue. They have a minimum consignment fee of $5. So if you sell a book below $50, then the commission is greater than 10% However, on larger books, it is only 10 on the first $800, I think, and then 8% on the rest. It's mentioned on their web site. |
