Contrived & forced relationship building. meandering. I didn't hate it; but I didn't like it either. A pretty big notch below much of Phase 1 --> 3 |

I enjoyed it as well. I think it's about as woke as The Marvels, which is to say that both feature female actors in major roles.

Thought it was really good. New characters. Century & Void. And stay for the second/last end credit. It’s worth the wait.

This sounds promising, so I'll wait until it's on D+. |

This is a TEAM movie rather than individual female leads. Having said that, Florence Pugh who plays Yelena probably has more guts than many men https://youtu.be/S3dvh7PdCHk?si=iFOPG3DVrzTjy_sb |

Thought it was great, probably the best MCU movie I've seen since Shang-Chi. Florence Pugh and especially Lewis Pullman made it worth the watch. Of course, I can't get enough of David Harbour as the Red Guardian, either.

Would I need to watch any of the other stuff from the past four years for plot points? I think She-Hulk and Black Widow were the last Marvel things I watched. It received good reviews and sounds like a return to form so I might give this a shot.

@Studley_Dudley for plot points, no, I think the film does a good job of explaining the backstory pretty quickly. The only one I'd say that is maybe worth the time would be watching Black Widow.

Good movie, nice change of pace after some recent clunkers. I really enjoyed the end credits. |

Individuals/Heroes overcoming their shortcomings is what made Marvel so special in the 60s and jettisoned these heroes to stardom. MCU started & became just that also. Somewhere along the way, they lost this and have become more action, more laughs, more nonsense and overcoming plastic/rhinestone shortcomings & relationships. Thunderbolts tries to recapture that theme, but like many recent offerings is very plastic due to poor writing. They just don't effin get it. |

I'll likely go see it....but I think it would be brave and 1000% better if they did Thunderbolts in the Thunderbirds style!!!
