| Personally I've eliminated my tariff exposure on the US front..on comics and everything else I can buy back issues from your lcs...many of them are better than anything new being sold |

case in point - $1800 comic shipped on sunday to USA from Hong Kong. delivered wednesday. no issues. as stated - important for sender to state in customs doc that country of origin is USA (for US comics)  |

| having said this - all postal services for goods to the USA from Hong Kong may be suspended by May 2nd or sooner as the de mininis rules for china/hk will be replaced with a fee of $25 ($50 from june 1) or 30% (whichever is higher). although this fee does not apply to US comics - USPS insists that the fee be charged to the sender whereas hk post insists it be charged to the receiver. we will see what happens but unlikely to be resolved before it kicks in and hence postal services to be suspended | ||

| @poka yeah...eliminating the de minimis is going to potentially create issues with a large % of amazon stores never mind temu, ali etc. idk...I'll have to dig into things re-CBCS, I just got an order back and another to follow - I'll wait and see what if any fees flow through...for now all potential submissions are on hold - I went the first 20 or 30 years of collecting without submitting so I'm sure I can live going without |

| @drmccoy74 Although I agree with your statement 100%, I believe it does not fall within the parameters of this thread. This is not to avoid paying standard tax. This is to make sure what we are being charged is calculable before the sale and not an overcharged and unnecessary surprise by the misinformed or overzealous. For example, it had not occurred to me to have “country of origin USA” on the customs label until it was posted here. | ||

| Just as a follow up to those interested. HK Post will suspend all postal services containing goods to the USA starting from April 27th. That also means no charity auctions for the time being | ||
