When you put pressure on the case do they “enlarge” but return back to the same size when you release? Also, I’ve had some success with taking a suction cup and pulling the case outward slightly (relieving pressure against the inner sleeve). It doesn’t always, but sometimes improves it. |

These areas don't have the typical rainbow oil slick appearance that Newton Rings have, but they are hard to photograph and have them appear the same as the human eye would see them. Newton Rings also usually have all kinds of weird shapes, and these don't look too wild. But still could be. If not actual Newton Rings, maybe some type of similar anomaly, an optical illusion caused by the 2 plastics touching. Determination - inconclusive. I'm presuming it's a CGC case. If CGC could have used their "banana powers" to create a slight dome effect on the front and back of the case, there would have never been any Newton Rings. |

ahhh... the "old days" when the worst we had was ugly Newton Rings. Now they're just bending our books and destroying them. I long for the old days. |

@Nuffsaid111 Newtons & Bananas are the cgc exclusives. They are currently considering the next new labels to be with these exclusive titles. |

Maybe that's the new strategy. You are so thankful that your book is flat in the cgc slab that you don't care about the Newton Rings. I had that exact thought. Two of my Star Wars books have Newton Rings, but at least they aren't banana slabs. |
