There is much more I could share but I will simply say I sincerely hope you and everyone else never have to deal with issues like this on your books.

You must have been unlucky. Ive been dealing with CBCS since day one and I haven't had problems with my outer cases.

I've had two or three with some minor scuffing, but nothing a good wipe down with Novus plastic polish didn't fix.

You are one of the lucky ones I guess and I hope you don't have to go through it either. The issues appear to be inside the case too so a wipe down would not help anyways. The ones with the scratches run down perfectly front and back almost as if a paint brush was going down them. Many cloudy cases as well. They had apparently reslabbed them but when they shipped them back, several still had palmprints inside and fingerprints as if the people handling them weren't wearing gloves. Some came back with the tops cracked badly (only a few thanksfully) due to poor packaging. My buyers have taken notice too and complained and I have and to explain to them as well, thankfully they have all been understanding about it but it has affected resale value. The white circles I believ are caused by the pressure because they tend to take a stack of books and wrap them extremely tight with large bubblewrap and these cirular impressions appear on the books on the outsides of the stack. The impressions in the slab are the same size as the bubbles on the bubblewrap.

Every one of my CBCS slabs are crystal clear...maybe an odd scuff here and there that's only visible when tilted in the light at a certain angle.

By far the best slabs on the market....it's really not even close.

.... speaking as someone who just received back two books from CGC that I consider(ed) "keepsakes"; they effin bent both damn books and effed the books themselves. The damn books they destroyed.
Yea it says 9.8 on my labels, but even someone who's blind can see that the encapsulation effed up the book, bent it, and now it's a 0.0 grade. (yes, that's the flames shooting out of my head talking)

My CBCS books received have been flawless for the 7/8 years I've been submitting.
It's unfortunate when a slab case happens like this and would aggravate me to no end, but when you see what that other company ROUTINELY does; (i.e. not occasional eff-ups) then the fury is nuclear level with those Clarabelles in Sarasota.

I have not submitted any books to CGC for about a year or so, thankfully none appear to have any of the bending problems that you and several others have talked about. That is the reason I am not submitting any to them, until that issue is resolved, actually beyond that to make sure it is indeed fixed. Not all of my CBCS books have had the problems I talked about but several of them do and its not a minor issue, its terrible and very noticable front and back. When it happened I quickly reached out to them to let them know either they had a bad batch of plastic or something during encapsulation was causing the cloudy appearance and scratching and I wanted them to be aware of it so they could stop the presses per say and check so others didn't have the issue. The problem is no one, and I mean no one bothered to respond to the repeated emails, etc. I want to support CBCS again as I have several books still to get graded but its hard for me to do that when they have simply ignored my concerns.

I am unsure what CGC is going to do regarding the number of books that are damaged after they have encapsulated them into their cases, its is not good when they are removing threads on their site that talk about the problems and they ban/suspend users who continue to raise awareness.

Good Morning,

I consider the Moon Knight books very good, with some 9's and some 6's. I plan on posting spome pictures yet today.

Yeah I have to say that not only personally have I never received a CBCS case that had issues, but the shop I work with last year ordered 300 slabs from CBCS(in one order), and we talked about how we did not have a problem with even 1. On such a big order we expected to run into a few that might have something, but seriously....all were top notch.

Sorry you have had some bad luck.

Moon Knight had 2 volumes from the early 1980-searly 90's, so you have full sets of 2 separate Moon Knight series.

I would not sell that as one lot.

Selling a full volume of a comica as a compete run/complete set , if the keys (and/or newsstand editions) are unlikely to get 9.8's graded by CGC or CBCS, is the best way to sell 80's-90's books, for the most part.

However, you need to have grading experience to be able to gauge what is a 9.8 candidate (with a press, as 40+ year old comics will virtually always have tiny flaws keeping them from getting a 9.8 if not pressed before grading. and from the tone and nature of your post, you do not have a trained eye.
