Yeah. That’s not my experience. I feel like most CBCS books I find online are over priced. For example, one of the few of these in a CBCS slab I can find right now and it’s over priced by like $200-300 and needs to be shipped from Hong Kong??? And there’s like 2-3 dozen CGC copies on EBay. Yes some CGC are overpriced. But there’s enough available to find a few options near current FMV. I never see deals like what you showed. I must have bad luck.

Well...at least the shipping is reasonable.

Hard to believe the buyer actually paid. Especially for a #45 label.

Good price? Need a membership to see.

I found out even eBay is still biased.

Yes, search instead for what I typed, not what you think I should have typed.
I clicked on big history and the last bid it shows me is $900

It got away, but at least I helped the seller out. I'm sure they still regret auctioning it off.

I dislike how on this forum when someone quotes someone else you have to scroll for days to find the next comment. Half the time I can’t find the new comment.

Agreed, it's an annoyance. The CGC forum adds a link within the quote that you can follow back to the original post. Which may be dozens of pages back. Very helpful, and can add some context.

also - for those who cares - the 2 examples of banana books above - both of the owners have confirmed that Matt Nelson reached out to them to resolve the issues - apparently his message to them was that the issue has been largely resolved - so he is keen to resolve both of these to understand where in the process things are still not working. Both owners are positive that Matt reached out to them personally - but also still skeptical how the issue will be resolved

Everything is wonderful... until the next batch of books get mangled... stay tuned for Deathslab VII. Coming soon.

This would be helpful but I think if you click the bid history button, the final price is at the top of the list. No login necessary

Going through the current MCS auction and found this book that I would be very interested in. But this has got to be a banana.

Almost certainly with those color breaks... I guess... I would hope those weren't there when it was graded 9.8. You never know.

And meanwhile it's at $106 with over 3 days to go.
People either just don't care, don't know, don't care & don't know, or are idiots.

I wouldn't put out the cost of a McDonalds coffee for that flaming pile of tics
What a damn shame that ghastly book is at "9.8" and someone is going to be stuck with that used kitchen sink.

Some of you may remember my story but I bought one book from MCS and one from ComicLink last year, kind of early on. Both were 9.8s on the label but had the banana. Both auction houses took the book back and gave me a full refund. Maybe that's the answer - put pressure on those guys not to take them from the sellers?

Clinks current 'tude is to fall back on its "No Returns On Slabs" policy.

MCS has same policy but never enforced as far as I know. MCS genuinely cares about their mid to long term gains and CLink says eff tommorrow as long they gets paid today.

@1979_03 Clink gave me a full refund but that was early on. It had some significant bends on it with a couple of major spine ticks which could not be seen in their auction pics.

Clink offers a discount through CGC & CBCS if customer's send them raw books and sign an agreement to have them auctioned. Without this, I'm assuming most of their auctions would be empty. It appears most customers are still choosing to send their books through CGC. I don't think Clink is going to steer anyone towards another grading company, until their ROI plummets. I personally think Clink should have a disclaimer about submissions to CGC, informing potential submitters of the issue of CGC mangling the comics. It would also be nice if Clink was upfront with potential auction customers of FMV data of CGC vs CBCS.

Also, I don't think Borock is in any position to tell the owner of Clink how to conduct their business, although I'm sure he has his own opinions about all the damaged books his employer is selling to customers. It must be a tough situation to be in.

Here's the clink CGC 20% discount;

And the CBCS 10% discount:

My brain kept seeing it as shorthand for Colonel Klink.
