| And here I had a strong hope the tides were turning over there. I'm over the moon that a lot of my books are getting the CBCS treatment. I just bought a CGC slab at my LCS because it was a high grade. Maybe, I should send it here? There doesn't appear to be any issues but even still. Never in the short time I've been collecting books that I would ever see the CGC get spanked this hard. They didn't just shoot themselves in the foot they shot themselves in the b**ls! I don't know if I read this somewhere or was just thinking it but when you can't make up your mind about something; Your mind will be made up for you. | It’s the big submitters that flip books for profit that are keeping that train moving. They don’t care if the book is damaged. If a buyer questions it, they point to the grade on the label. CBCS needs to invest in signing events again if possible. Just having a few facilitators at select cons won’t cut it for those looking for witnessed signatures. |

Photos of the new bends from the cgc thread before they get bamf-ed. This is some of the worst bending I have seen. This moves beyond your typical banana bend.   These are scans of the book before submission.    Pictures of another submitter's books that they just received back.    I have already passed on several books that I would have purchased because I'm afraid I would end up with one of these nightmares. There's no submitting to CBCS and getting that kind of damage repaired while maintaining a 9.8 grade. |

| A few more questions regarding CGC. We've talked about lawsuits, but what about insurance claims. Is CGC self-insured? If not why can't you make a claim with their insurance for the damages that were caused to your books? You select insurance when submitting and I don't understand why this wouldn't be applicable. If they do have insurance and they're denying the claim why can't you file a complaint with the Florida Department of Insurance? Also, is anyone getting their credit card company involved or are you just eating the CGC grading fees? All of this seems like minimal effort and no cost to customers other than their time. |

| @DrWatson @DrWatson To say the book is no longer a valid 9.8 is an understatement. The best you can do is sell it to a banana (cgc) fan-boy... Then get another one graded by CBCS. Pain in the arse to have to deal with such blatant disrespect for another persons property. More than zero quality control, that was passed on with "I don't care" mentality. This could be construed as malicious. Certainly unprofessional and unacceptable. Sorry you are having to deal with this BS..... |

| @flanders The credit card company is a maybe???? I mean for any other vendor you receive damaged merchandise from, you could get a refund right? Not sure about the insurance with CGC. I think that is for the shipping insurance, but they do carry general liability which covers damages. Every company is supposed to carry GL.... |
