| Yeah. There was a full box of super modern stuff (Batman Who Laughs, Spider-Man/Deadpool, New X-men, etc.) that was the first box & I would have walked away if there was much more of that. Oddly enough, the “Torment” trade I thought was extra cool. Just hadn’t seen that initial printing before. |

| Sooo … an update on this lot. I filled a full short box of books to hang onto for now and put the other 2 boxes on Craigslist to try & get the majority of my money back. One guy responded, no question asked, “I want to buy your comics”. He was traveling a couple hours to meet me, so, I dragged out a couple more short boxes I’ve wanted to sell anyway. Our local con is a week away, I could use some extra walking around money & I figured I’d make the drive worth his while. Turns out, it’s a vendor I’ve done business with for years. In fact, I’d wanted to talk to him for quite some time. I bought a House of Secrets 92 from him that came back from grading with restoration. He was very apologetic and offered to buy the book back at full price. I just wanted credit at his booth for the difference in value. He was cool with that and bought everything I had to sell. Win/win! |
