| I don’t love the New 52 style collar (I prefer a rounder /scooped neckline with the tucked cape)but it does make sense with the rest of the design. I’m 1000% pro trunks and belt (trunks for Batman, too). I don’t care if it’s not modern and it doesn’t make sense. He’s a circus strongman. That’s how they dress. I like the bright colors. I love that they used the S on the cape. It looks a little fussy and bulky in pics, but looked a lot better in motion in the trailer. It looks practical while still being “costumey” which I don’t think is a bad thing. In this context. I thought the final Cavill look (with the brighter S symbol and more defined beltline) was pretty darn good. I don’t like the undersized, overly 3 dimensional “S” or the “S” on the belt, but not the cape on Routh, but the rest is OK. For me, the Reeve costume is perfect. I like all the actors’ portrayals as far as the material they’ve been given and I think Corenswet will do well, also. They HAVE to nail Superman this time and I’m really rooting for them. So, long story short, yes. I like the costume. |
