Question on consignment with MCS21481

Yeah, slabs will always get processed faster than raw books. That's normal.

Yep, raw books have to be graded. Graded books are scan and go.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Right, no surprise. Just letting folks know if they didn't. Even though I can't price them yet, I can see the grades that MCS has given the books. They were CBCS raw graded and MCS marked them lower.

The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
That's to be expected. They do that so there are fewer returns. Almost every raw book I've bought from mcs has gotten a grade bump after grading. Only 1 book that I recall did not. I remember posting thinking there was no way it was under graded. And it came back as the posted grade even after a press.

I've had great success buying raw 8.5s per MCS standard grading and getting bumps to 9.8 after a press.

MCS grading is great for buyers. I've purchased many 6.0 books that were 8.0-8.5 and 8.0 books that were NM.

The two raws I sent were just marked as ready for me to set up. So it took all this extra time to work through the queue compared to slabs.

Sent 29 CBCS and the cgc graded books to MCS this morning in three different packages.

I hope they all arrive safely.

I kept all four of these. I couldn't make a decision.

@DrWatson if you look closely while wobbling your head around you can see a slight imperfection on that one. Probably time to sell it.

I'm keeping the four 9.8s. I sent two 9.6s to MCS.

@flanders are you looking for that specific book? I have copy signed by Greg Land and Simone Bianchi if interested.

@SpiderTim I'm not. I have two copies somewhere in the 9.4 range. Thanks for asking though.
