Always thought this type of cover art was "suitable for framing.".

This was my last DAREDEVIL...when the LITTLE WISE GUYS took over
the stories I lost interest.

While posting images on Nostomania I remembered I had two
copies of FOUR-COLOR #190, "FLASH GORDON THE ADVENTURES OF
THE FLYING SAUCERS" had to pick one to post. This issue is
one of the early FLYING SAUCER comics and has a wrap-around
cover showing the FLYING SAUCERS on the back cover.

Just realized this SMITTY is number one...not part of the FOUR-COLOR
group.

Just saw that at a recent (December 30, 2018) HERITAGE AUCTION
a JUNIOR #9 in VG condition sold for $720.00...never realized
that there was any interest in this title.

I didn't clip many coupons from my books but one I did clip
was inside the back cover of DETECTIVE #135. I sent for the
DAISY HANDBOOK using this coupon, ten cents and an unused
3 cent stamp.

I know my copy is only a remainder, but I just discovered that
Overstreet shows MYSTERY IN SPACE #1 in second position on their Top Ten Science=Fiction Comics listing.

I don't remember seeing this one before Marty. That is what I like about your collection; you didn't seem to concentrate on any one genre or series. Always interesting to see what is next.

Collecting books from that era, now, is a lot of effort and money. I've focused on just a few genres but I am always tempted to just start buying like a crazy, ultimately cash poor, fool.

Thank you for your kind words and continued interest in my
collection. The newsstands were so full of great titles and
I just wanted to sample them all...restricted only by the
ability to pay for them...I missed so many great ones!

Little could I have imagined back in 1945 when I picked
up off the newsstand a copy of DETECTIVE COMICS #104, my
first DETECTIVE COMICS, that 74 years later I would be
buying issue number 1,000 of the same title off a table
in a store called BARNES & NOBLE.
