It seems like I don't see the purple used on this cover very often. I wonder if it was more expensive or more difficult to print.

I have no idea...but now I'll be looking for more "purple covers".

For me, some of the most enjoyable BATMAN splash pages and stories
were published in WORLD'S FINEST...but at 15 cents I wasn't always
able to afford them.

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, these are all my books
purchased by me from newsstands and W.T. GRANTS over the period
of 1942 to 1954. A few of the LOONEY TUNES and MERRIE MELODIES
and CAPTAIN MARVEL ADVENTURES are from mail subscriptions given to
me as a Christmas Gift by my parents.
Glad to see you going through my collection and enjoying it.

Just loaded an image of HEADLINE COMICS #16 on Nostomania
and was surprised to see, based on their surveys, that it
was listed at a 10 on the Demand Gauge. Could be because of
first appearance and origin of ATOMIC MAN.

While searching through my collection for UGLY KEYS and GOLDEN
AGE FUNNY ANIMAL comics to post in their respective threads I
ran across this PEP COMICS #60. I had forgotten that my name
and address were printed inside the front cover as one of the
Prize Winners in the SHIELD G-MAN CLUB CONTEST...the Prize was
a free copy of a future PEP COMICS.
