| Part of the enjoyment I receive from revisiting my collection is running across issues that appeared to be special to me at one time and then remembering why...like this DELL FOUR COLOR #173. It states on the cover "Introducing for the first time...FLASH GORDON COMICS especially written and drawn for this book." Up to this time I believe all of the FLASH GORDON comics contained reprints of the daily and Sunday newspaper strips. I guess this would make this the first FLASH GORDON Comic Book.  mm |

| Found this hanging by a clothespin in the window of a corner store...in 1948 this was the very first time I had ever seen the mention of Superhero creators introducing a new character. I'm sure they were others but I never saw them.  mm |
