Right now I am using this: clickable text I do not really like the design as the locking tab needs to rub against the comic to close. Suggestions? |

I mean, I just use short boxes with bags and boards for each book. I don't think I'd like any kind of portfolio like this unless I was transporting, say to a con for signatures.

@MeanGene welcome to the forum! What are you looking for and why? Is it for taking to a con? Or just for storage at home? Personally, I have short boxes and shelves at home. For cons, I have a small box that holds a few books, plus I use this backpack that can hold them along with slabs: clickable text |

I love Comic Capsule. They have Modern and Silver Age size. Nothing yet for Golden Age, but they will at sometime. They are clear and UV resistant. Protect the cover front and back plus the sides. They open at the top and you gently slide the comic in. A lot like a top loader except it’s UV protectant plastic, firmer, and the top snaps open and shut very easily, if you want to change your display. They have a sale every month or two where if you order $100 you get free shipping up to 25% off plus free shipping. They also add a govX discount usually another 10% or 20% if you are military, former military, or a first responder. So I usually buy 20 or 30 at a time to get the free shipping and make the discount come out. Here are some pictures to help explain them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://www.comiccapsule.com |

I have a section of wall in the hallway, away from exterior light, that I display (mostly slabbed) books on. I have room for three at a time, and I change them irregularly based on seasons, holidays, or mood.![]() ![]() And the stairs up to the FROG are where I have framed art. Again, limited exterior light, and everything is under museum-grade glass. ![]() |

BCW Black plastic short boxes- it annoys me seeing cardboard boxes getting progressively more and more dinged up.

I store my books in regular bags/boards/comic boxes. Changing the bags and boards every 7-8 years is part of the hobby. A chance to look at everything. I don't display any comic books. Because light is bad. "UV protection glass or plastic" is false security. All light is bad. UV just happens to be the worst since it's the most energetic. Color copies of comic book covers can look just as nice displayed as the books themselves. I personally have a few posters and some art displayed. Comics? In the dark boxes. |

For storage, I’m lucky enough to have three great durable file cabinets. For display purposes, I managed to get my hands on some cool magazine racks. One mounted to the wall and one spinner. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

@CapCityComics Yes, the modern holds all moderns & Bronze Age with a bag and board that I’ve tried. They also hold some Silver if they are straight with out bag & board. The picture with the ASM 17 & 18 are an example of SA books in a modern size capsule. The Silver Age Capsule holds some books. Many silver with a bag & board fit well, but seems like the early Silver Surfers are too thick for a bag & board. I’m still playing around with them a bit, but I am really happy with them! Hope this helps. |

I use regular wooden book shelves and BCW graded shortboxes. Purely utilitarian. Comics are completely covered and in the dark. I do not display any comics.
