Im expecting some christmas money to get a graded comic. eying a 3.0 Strange Tales #138 (1st appearance of Eternity)

obviously horrible grade, but its a 57 year old comic. On ebay similar grades.

Looking at GoCollect the FMV between a 3.0 and 7.0 is $35-$50

I would look at a higher graded book for around that money... Plus there are more places to search beside eBay that you could find a deal. And look into auctions if one pops up..

In today's market you can always find a better deal..

The one question you should ask yourself is who would slab a silver age book at that grade with a FMV of around $30??? Makes no sense economically. The cost of slabbing and shipping alone is $35-$40... not including the cost of the actual raw book (unless they paid cover price for it)...

Patience Luke!!!! Use the force!!!! I would look to buy a higher graded Raw copy for $25!!

For me, grade is important but if I can get a better deal on a lower grade that still presents well I'll take it, specially for older books like op stated
