Yes, but they are closed again on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Plus, I would imagine that a few employees took vacation days between Christmas and New Year's as well.

I had 4 packages and they kicked one back. Is that normal or is it a time sensitive item? What would they reject? Gfin |

@gfin - Welcome to the forum. I’m not sure what you mean - did CBCS refuse to accept a package from you? Or did they reject a book or books from grading? Books can get rejected because of cover overhang, loose attachments, or even content, for example. I suggest you send a PM to @Wade_Story to see if he can help, or at least offer an explanation. Good luck.

The other 3 packages were ‘waived” on through. All were UPSed out at the same time. This one should come back tomorrow unopened. Really wanted these to land. This one has my signed Stan Lee FF50, Joe Simon signed FF49, Hon Romita SR signed ASM107 and Bernie Wrightson Swampie #1. No response from email to customer service. Phone number seems useless.

I'm sure they'd honor it if the package was incorrectly returned. I'm assuming you sent it to the Plano, TX address since the other packages were accepted. I'd call UPS and ask them to provide more details. The only reason I could see for CBCS rejecting the package, is that it was severely damaged. One of CBCS's major flaws, at least in the past, is not documenting damaged packages, opening the contents, and then grading damaged comics without properly informing the owner. By the time the months pass without any documention of the damages, the owners usually can't file an insurance claim against the carrier and are expected to pay CBCS for grading damaged books. @gfin I hope the contents of your package are ok. |

@gfin Very odd. Refusing the package means it was refused on sight and not by its contents I believe. Strange indeed.

@Nuffsaid111 @Nearmint67 Very likely. It's really the only reason to refuse it. What other reason could there be? |

from the time they receive a package to the time they open and invoice the contents, how long does that usually take? Just curious.

so all books I sent out for grading, are books from and for my PC. For my PC, I am perfectly fine with low grades. I actively seek low grades, purple labels, green labels...I'd rather have it at a .5 than not at all, but I totally understand your line of thinking, I feel that way about books I'm going to sell.
