| I heard from a pretty reliable friend that CGC Mike (formerly Comic Donna on the cgc boards) got laid off by the cgc yesterday. He was the forum moderator and more less go between the cgc and the masses. They also mentioned there were others, but was unsure of exactly who or how many. I suppose that 20% off sale didn't bring in enough submissions after all. |

| Appreciate the information. It's not like they (CGC) ever let out any information that customers should know about; let alone information like potential layoffs which is not necessary info. Transparency is, by far, their worst organizational trait. Wait a minute....check that.... competency is their worst |

| End of Sept is many company's end of Fiscal Year. They crunch and review the numbers for about a month. And then this happens. Some even wait to December. It's just awful |

| I had a lot of respect for Mike, even with all the bitching he had to deal with when Invision software was utilized to power the CGC boards back in 2017. He heard a lot of bitching from me when I was trying to run one of the longest-running AND longest raw comic sales threads they had at the time, but he always knew how to work with me. That was before he started getting paid for the moderator gig too. We developed a quality working relationship, and he was an all round nice guy…someone I could confide in him when board behaviors got out of control, or just to shoot the shit about comics. Unfortunately, he was still a product of the company he worked for, and I’m a bit shocked he didn’t walk away when things got bad recently. As far as I’m concerned, CGC should either go away for good, or be completely restructured from the ground up. I know I’ve shared my opinions a number of times on these boards, but they pissed me off. I believe in competency, common sense, ethics, and high quality customer service. CGC failed me in those areas back in 2020, and I hold a grudge. Getting rid of Mike…one of the worst decisions those shitheads in charge over there could have made in this current climate. They have truly hit rock bottom. My favorite word for people like that sounds like ‘duck holes’. But….  |
