Mint-Hunter comics just posted an interesting video on CBCS closing the value gap on CGC with some documented examples of books selling not only on par with CGC, but also in some cases selling ahead of CGC. If anyone is interested in watching... |

Some CBCS books have sold for record prices. It's a shame the cgc has GPA by the balls. Why else wouldn't he want to include all the sales data he could in order to make his product more reflective of the market? |

More accurate and consistent grading... Check! Stronger and more robust cases... Check! Not producing bananas... Check! Hasn't gone off the 9.9/10 deep end... Check! Yup, looks legit to me! |

If anything, it's the auction houses and large retailers GPA would need permission from....not cgc.

To my knowledge, the only resource GPA mines for data is eBay. All the other sales are provided to GPA by the sellers.

Not if the sale is conducted off eBay and the Seller doesn't report to GPA.

If CGC is sooo much better in sales than CBCS, why don't collectors/buyers/sellers buy the lower priced CBCS (9.8's), crack the case, send it to CGC (should get the same grade) and resell it for more? I'm not a fan of CGC and have been submitting/buying CBCS slabs since I discovered slabbing. |

@Rafel who says that nobody does so? Probably those who do that don't advertise doing it.
