| I went back and changed a few of my picks before posting this, which is something I never do, so we’ll see how that works out for me. I decided to go with the Jets this week, even though I think Houston is clearly the better team. Although it looks like the Jets are going to ultimately miss the playoffs, a win here would keep the drama and angst going a little longer, and that just seems like something this team would do. I’m taking Dallas for much the same reason. Although it would probably be better for everyone if the Cowboys just tanked, they will keep hope alive a little longer before ultimately coming up short. I thought about taking Miami over Buffalo but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Tua or no, they blew that game against Arizona last week, and the Bills on the road is a much stiffer challenge. That said, the Dolphins really need this one, so I expect them to pull out all the stops in a (futile) attempt to get a win here. Worth noting: I am making my first NFL road trip this weekend. No, not to Green Bay. (I wish!) My buddy is a lifelong Chargers fan, so a few of us are going to drive down to Cleveland to watch the Chargers (hopefully) destroy the Browns.  |
