Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Last issue of Copra. This is the Copra Press copy from Fiffe’s online store vs the one Image put out. You could really feel Fiffe’s passion for this world he created along with his passion for the comic medium.

This Animage magazine from Japan has the first chapter of Hayao Miyazaki’s Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Picked up books at Summercon

And I got my Star Trek signed...

William Shatner was $280 with selfie

Walter Koenig was $120 with selfie...

Mr Koenig was really great and he came around the table for a selfie..

Really nice guy but I felt he was a little frail so I'm thinking he won't be doing cons for much longer so I urge any Star Trek and Babylon 5 fans to get his signature sooner then later...

It's been my experience that $280 usually gets you a lot more action.

I don't mean to belittle his experience. He picked up some awesome books and had an amazing fan interaction. My point was if you are going to charge for a selfie, at least put a little effort into it. Sit on a stool and let the guy walk around the table and stand next you.

A few highlights from my trip to Washington:

The details of these pick ups is on my post about Washington Summer Con.

Then there’s a small mail call from while I was away. I got the Punisher MAX Ultimate Collection TPBs vol. 3 & 4 off of a comic swap group on Reddit because the Vol. 2 Omni is OOP & stupid expensive.

@southerncross My daughter and I sat in William Shatner's panel back in 2020. She still says it was the best panel we have sat in. I agree with her on that. He told the MC he could handle it and pulled a chair right to the front of the stage and cut up with the audience with questions and old stories for about an hour. It was great. I'm pretty sure my daughter was the only 17 year old in the place because of reruns of T.J. Hooker!

That's awesome, great memories to have with your daughter. I'm old enough to remember 1st run episodes of Star Trek and the closest I ever came to meeting him was having him reply to one of my Tweets lol!

You're alright, you didn't belittle my experience.

I originally thought it a bit weird getting a selfie across the table then I thought well he is getting on and all good.

When I went over to Walter and I was going to do the selfie and hand my phone over to a convention helper he got up and said he will come around the table. I told him he didn't need too but he insisted.
He stood beside me and put his arm around me and I just kept my hands to the side thinking he can do whatever he is comfortable with.

So it was a great experience all round.

And I urge any fans if they are appearing at a con near you to get their autograph. Even though it's only over a weekend at their age it will take a toll and they may not be able to attend as much in the future..

Yeah I remember TJ Hooker as the original Star Trek was before my time so I only saw reruns. And I enjoyed watching Boston Legal and use to have all the DVDs.

Great to hear you and your daughter had a great experience.

Got this from @Poka. I've had my eye on this comic since I found out it was Mera's first appearance. looked at many listings then @poka listed it on his sales thread, that's all I needed to bite the bullet and get it.

Thanks, @poka!

Mail call today! Really happy to have won this one at auction. One more Truevision book to cross off my list. It's not the prettiest copy but it's mine. :-)

I don't guess any of you own the copy of Romantic Adventures #47 that is listed in the CBCS Population Report, do you????

Another that is not technically new to the collection, but freshly retrieved after being reholdered from the old case with clips.
