Marc Andreyko, who is my favorite comic book writer, worked on the original “Sam & Twitch” series. It’s a solid read.

never had heard of it before. there is a business in Charlotte that they buy pallets of amazon, target, and Walmart returns. then sell them. you bid online, the pick it up their location. stuff that doesn't sell, or cant sell they put in bins where prices go from $8 on Fridays to $2 on Wednesdays (gets lower each day) with Thursday is $15 for a grab bag. only exceptions are discs (movies, CDs, records, games) and books. went there to see if any good movies. they didn't but checked out books and saw the two and artists would be at the convention next week. so bought them

102 for me. Not sure why. Whenever I see one it looks pretty ragged

😂
My LCS just got one
Maybe because it's Storm origin but most every time I see one it's beat up

Just picked up some raw copies - two early BA horror books with Bernie Wrightson covers and an Adventure Comics upgrade for my LSH run.

I picked this one up from @poka through MCS (thanks Keld!) as a Father's Day present for myself. Don't forget that several people on this forum sell through MCS, and many offer discounts to CBCS forum members.

The piggy bank took another hit, but it was for a good cause. 'Cause I really wanted these two books.

This is one of my favorite (probably top 3) of the DC grey tone covers from the 1950s and 60s. I've been wanting this one for years and I finally found a decent copy at a decent price. I'd be happy to upgrade, though, if anyone has one laying around collecting dust.

Only the last one of these is technically new to my collection. However, I've never posted any of these before.

Twice a year, in Spring and Winter, Comic Art Fans has a "Mystery Sketch" event. The way it works is that you pay a couple of hundred bucks or so and specify a character (and maybe some minor details) that you want in your sketch. Then, CAF gives your sketch request to an available artist, he or she creates the sketch and ships it to you. I think the events are a way to support young artists while giving fans a chance to get a sketch for a reasonable price.

They recently held the Spring sketch event and I just received mine. That sketch is the last of the four that I am posting. The others are from previous "Mystery Sketch" events. Obviously, my character of choice has been the Spectre.

Winter 2023, Artist: Francisco Paronzini

Spring 2024, Artist: Jonathan Wayshak

Winter 2024, Artist: John Amor

Spring 2025, Artist: Julius Abrera
