Well, I sold you my 7.5 newsstand a few years ago and I had kind of been missing it the last year or so. Then, when you posted your recent purchase, you really made me want to pick one up again. This one just happened to show up on eBay and the seller accepted my offer on it.

So, yea, I guess I am searching like you now. 🍻
I forgot that’s where my newsstand was from. Congrats to you. I’m not on the verge a news copy that high but my 9.4 direct is looking for an upgrade.

@DWeeB1967 Nice! I have 3 with only one newsstand @ 9.0.

(Mine doesn't say anything about it being a "newsstand edition" either.)

@OGJackster I've only got two copies right now: the newsstand copy I posted and a 9.8 direct.

I've had a couple of other copies in the past, one I sold to @HeinzDad and another that I traded. It's a book that I am always after at the right price.

And... I got these today.

Batgirl (current series) #2
- First appearance of Kelden the Unseen.
- "FUN" FACT: It took four comic shops just to find a reader copy of this issue.

Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #120
- First appearance of Cassandra Cain as Batgirl
- A personal (on again) "grail list" goal. Not a big fan of her first appearance.

Batgirl (current series) #4
- First appearance of both Chodak the Unbode and Nergui the Unknown.
- All I can say that I like the Unseen.

My favorites are 1-10, the Wrightson editions. I would love to own a 9.8 #1 but at around $4500 and up, I don't think that will happen

Between books I've had for years and some of the "Mark's Books" copies I was lucky enough to buy, I've got 9.6/9.8 copies of #2-#10 of the first series. My only #1 is a 9.2 that I bought from a comic artist named Doug Hazlewood years ago (he'd bought it off the newsstand when it was first released).

I'd like to upgrade my 9.2 at least a click or two. A cash + trade deal would be ideal. One day.

It just happens to be my favorite book. So thank you, also still for my Watchmen.

The only thing here untouchable is the signed copy. Otherwise I’d like to level up the direct edition. The CPV is gonna be tough to get but I’m open minded.

My pleasure, Brian. I'm glad they both went to a fellow Constantine/Swamp Thing lover.

Great collection!!

Then there’s the pick-ups from Lodi-Con today:

A fun foil facsimile of Daredevil #1.

A low grade (2.0?) placeholder copy of ASM #15 (1st Kraven).

A solid upper mid-grade Tomb of Dracula #10 (1st Blade).

Some recent pickups. First was from poka on here not too long ago. Been wanting a gold Venom for a while and when he posted this with Bagley's sig I jumped on it.

The rest of these were recent mycomicshop.com auction wins. Took me way too long to figure out where the signature was on this one:

I get nervous spending more than a few bucks CGC slabs these days, but luckily this one did not have a banana bend in it.

Today was epic as far as a collecting stand point goes. How everything occurred the same day is beyond me.

First, I purchased these from a buddy.

Second, this showed up from @Cli4dR3DOg. Keep hitting me up privately amigo!!!!!!!!

Lastly, this book. This book has been at an LCS. Two months ago I made a cash/trade offer and was declined because it was on consignment. It turns out said seller is forum member, @DPK419. He saw my Swampy 37 post and reached out. Its really crazy how that worked out in the long run considering the store owner didn't even take my info in case this book sat to long which is exactly what happened. Nice meeting you @DPK419!

Man what a great day! You might as well sell your collection now. Things can only go downhill from here. 😄

Congrats on all of them, especially that ST#37.

As a side note, this book appears to be free of any banana bends. The upper right corner is cracked, poorly packaged. So, I might send it in to make up numbers on a next submission, whenever that might be.

I picked up the Northland Copy of X-Men 22 not too long ago. Upon arrival, I inspected the case and my fears were realized. It was a banana slab. Off it went to CBCS and I was fortunate enough to retain the 9.2 grade. I have the original cert that came with the book grading it VF/NM ~9.0. So, I'm pretty thrilled all the way around.

This is nota comic book it’s a poster I had signed today by Marv Wolfman.

Here he is signing it

I haven't met many creators, but out of the few I’ve encountered, Marv was the gentlest soul I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. He was incredibly kind and always responded to questions with fascinating stories. He was truly remarkable! Sadly, his wife sharing that this would be his last convention appearance due to health reasons, and that all upcoming events have been canceled, was really heartbreaking news. I sincerely hope he feels better soon and that he’ll have the chance to share his incredible experiences with fans who cherish his work.

It's probably 'cause you have such high standards. I can't afford your standards so I'm happy will mid to low grade. It is an iconic cover. BTW I love, love, love seeing your collection! Of course it makes me envious at the same time.

It's not standards. It's OCD, lol.

When I was little, I would carry my books around in a suitcase and take them with me where ever we would go. They got beat up pretty bad. I wish I still had some of those... long since gone.

I went up to Motor City Con today and met up with @Bronte and his brother. Afterwards we went to Buddy's Pizza and met up with former board member @DavetheBrave. It was a fun day and great to meet everyone.

I had to behave as far as my wallet went so here's my day's dreck.
