Oh, and a note to anyone shipping to Canada. Use USPS. UPS will bend your customer over and ream them real good.

I won a comic clean and grade charity auction a few months back. These 7 books just came back. I’ll post the other 3 someday when I get them. I am leaning towards keeping the Bane & GI Joe. Then hoping to sell or trade the rest towards some early ASM

Small collection pick-up. Three short boxes, plus a bonus photo bomb from Gabby.

I’ll start a thread tomorrow to share the highlights. Nothing Earth shattering, but some fun stuff.

and charge all kind of taxes and fees regardless of value. Canadian post at least has a min value before they start charging

I hardly agree with both of these fine gentlemen's assessments. I have experienced both venues and USPS comes out on top for any transaction.

Just a sampling.

I’d assume when it was initially sent in, the owner didn’t know it would get a green label.

So my buddy calls me and says he has rats. Like 8" long rats in his house. He saw one run off with a full size protein bar that he had on the counter. He saw it run off behind his hot water tank. It's a single level ranch on a crawl space. He saw big holes behind the hot water tank. He sent me two photos of these huge rat glue traps with 2 different rats he caught. He is so freaked out and has not slept in two days. So I went to help him out. We removed his water tank and I took sheetmetal and made up a nice patch and sealed the heck out of it and put the water tank back in place. He had a ziplock bag with about a dozen books that he got from his uncle. He gave me the books as he was very happy to get that hole sealed up. He has an exterminator coming over next to evaluate the situation. Unfortunately his neighborhood
has been infested with rats. He is close to Detroit. My clothes went right into the washing machine when I got home.

I wish I was kidding, but I work in NYC and during Covid as an essential worker I would walk to the construction site kicking rats the size of cats out of the way at 530am. NYC rats have a certain type of entitlement that is crazy to understand unless you’ve experienced it.

I wasn't thinking about the owner, but the cgc giving it a green label instead of blue. If anything, I would have called it conserved and not qualified.

I’ve seen pack rats on our farm that were big enough to f$!k a turkey standing flat footed.

I believe it. I seem them with my own eyes while driving through NY going to a customers site to work on their latex printer (cause of my work as a Field Service Engineer). I remember seeing piles of trash and garbage on the sidewalks high as my vehicle and seeing huge rats all over the place.

And these rats just stood there like they owned the place and people actually walked around them... haha.
