Here’s a prime example of how comics should be packed to avoid damage. If not for the one inch cardboard reinforcement at the top and bottom of this package from @mycomicshop , the 2 magazines graded at MM 9.4 would have arrived to me at around VG 4.0. 2 raw comics were also included in this order. All items in this order arrived as described, no damages….despite a corner of this box being severely bent from what looks like being crushed by machinery. The total of this order was under $30, with tax and shipping. The impacted box corner resulted in a minute upward corner bend of the sheet of cardboard the books were placed on in a bag. If the spine of the 2 mags were laid on the other side of the box which suffered the impact damage with the tiny upward bend of the cardboard sheet, there would be some spine tics or at least spine stress lines, from the impact. Again, this is an order of 4 books with the highest priced books being $6.00. A magazine sized gemini mailer wouldn’t have fared nearly as well as this MCS box. And if the books were damaged, they were insured. |

Oh, while I am at it…. This Age Of Amalgam TOB NEWSSTAND VARIANT EDITION ends in about 24 hours and it’s well below FMV…also I grade it at an 8.0/8.5. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=60218709 |
