Wow, these were some crazy hard games to pick! A handful of true coin toss games this week. After some hand wringing I eventually went with Philadelphia to stop the Saints’ momentum. New Orleans really exposed the Dallas secondary (and linebackers for that matter) on Sunday. Philadelphia’s secondary is by far the toughest they have faced so far (the final minute and a half of MNF aside  ), so there should be a few less 80 yard bombs this week. My only concern is that if the game is close in the final 2 minutes, Philly will find some improbable way to blow it. Baltimore/ Dallas is another brutal game to choose. I don’t like the Ravens O Line against the Dallas D Line, but I do like the Ravens’ coach. I expect a winning game plan and maybe some special teams trickery to propel the Ravens into the win column. As much as I wanted to take the Rams this week against the Niners, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The Rams offense will be lucky to field 11 against the 49ers’ top tier defense. If Stafford goes down in this game it will be all over for the Rams this year. In addition to the Ravens, I also like Tennessee and Cincinnati to get into the win column for the first time on Sunday/ Monday. |
