https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=59771191 Asking $300 or best offer. DOUBLE MANUFACTURING ERROR BOOK Book was manufactured with only one staple and is miscut at the bottom of the cover. I think this book could pull around a 9.2 if pressed and slabbed, figured I would post this up here and on the CGC forums as Baltimore (mycomicshop will be set up at Baltimore) next weekend and I think this book would sell much easier if dry cleaned and pressed. Feel free to send offers thru the link above. |

very interesting.... I'm weird in that I don't mind double covers or even colour printing issues...but errors that detract from the look just aren't in my wheelhouse...lol...nor are Beavis and Butt-head!! |

Quote:Originally Posted by KatKomics I don’t think books manufactured missing a staple detract from the book. The hunt for manufacturing error books is not limited to duplicate covers or color variations. The entire premise behind collecting manufacturing error books is the novelty/rarity of such error books. Most common manufacturing error books are typically double cover error books. I think the fact that a book from the lower printed tail end of a 28 issue monthly series that was printed without a second staple has remained not only attached to the cover after 28 years of ostensibly being jammed into a 50 cent box for the first decade or two of its’ existence is pretty remarkable in itself. Compounded by the fact that this book was not only printed with a single staple, the front cover was cut short by about an inch at its’ base, leaving the first inner wrap exposed at the bottom of the book. I collect manufacring error books and these sorts of errors are actually much more uncommon than one may think. Damn cell battery is gonna die so that’s all I can say for now… |

If that miscut is an inch from the base of the book then that book must be 3' tall. | ||
