I just got back from it. I guess I was a little disappointed.... and not just because I lost $5 to my buddy when Taylor Swift didn't make an appearance! I mean, they even made a crack about it in X-Men '97- so to have no reference (I was fully expecting Ryan Reynolds in a wig or something) was surprising. My favorite part was all the Wolverines...AOA, Patch (not enough Patch, needed WAY more Patch), comic-accurate height Wolverine... but I kinda felt like the story didn't have enough of a plot. Basically "Your world is ending, Deadpool because you need a Wolverine... Deadpool finds Wolverine, fights with him a lot because it looks cool, but basically for no reason." And that was about it! Even the cameos weren't that exciting to me. I liked Tom from Succession in it- but it felt like he was maybe a 2nd choice because Owen Wilson turned it down? Gambit was the only one that REALLY delivered. His one line about being "Ready" made me laugh so hard. And Deadpool saying "WHO was your dialect coach? We're missing KEY exposition here." was the funniest line in the whole thing! =D It was entertaining, but I expected to have more fun watching it I guess. Also, you REALLY need to have watched Loki, Logan and the first two Deadpool movies, before seeing this. Or you'd be totally lost. |

I thought it was a fun and entertaining 2 hours, with no need for a deeper message or constraints to push the "next product" in an overarching storyline. As for the cameo's, man did they hit them out of the park. Evans subverting Cap to Johnny Blaze, Snipes taking a snipe as him being the only real blade, Henry Cavel as Wolverine which honestly so works, and Tatum as Gambit was priceless. I loved it for being the nostalgic love letter to both moviegoers and comic nerds alike. |

I loved all the Easter eggs. I appreciated the Stan Lee cameo as a bus ad. Did anyone else see the sign on the shoe store “Liefeld’s feet” |

I have to say, the more I'm thinking back on it, the more I'm laughing to myself about some of the lines (the call back to Scoutmaster Kevin! lol) Also, it's been a while since I've been impressed by any special effects in a movie. And Cassandra Nova's powers were pretty well done. |

I saw it today with my oldest son. It was entertaining. We saw a matinee and it was worth the $7. I thought the story was weak like Sid stated and the story felt like it was going all over the place. The action was good but it felt a little redundant to me. It was also weird seeing Hugh Jackman swearing so much. I enjoyed all the Easter eggs and the comic book references like the cover of Uncanny X-men 251. |

Saw it yesterday. I was entertained. Honestly probably Deadpool at his finest in terms character progression. A mission driven silly character (Deadpool 1), story progression and further silliness (Deadpool 2) to absolute nonsense and ultra violence I understand why people don’t like this one but, The entire premise was made clear at the very beginning. All Deadpool wants is a team up with wolverine and that Deadpool ruins everything. Deadpool 2 could have led to x-force awesomeness, but what happened? He got his entire team killed in a single montage. Now He got his team up and all MCU bashing was hilarious. |

I saw it today with my two adult sons. Enjoyed the inside jokes, call-backs and obscure references. I will watch it again once it's available to stream as I'm sure I missed half of jokes and references. Short list of ones I liked were the Liefeld store sign, the Stanlee Steamer banner ad on the bus with a picture of Stan Lee, the homage to Uncanny X-Men 251 cover, and the characters from previous Marvel movies not from the MCU. But my favorite was when Deadpool/Wolverine expressed their sorrow after being told Daredevil was dead; and Elektra gave the "meh" response. So very funny given who that Daredevil was played by.

If there was an Aquaman/Sub-mariner type variant of Deadpool he could be SwimmingPool.

Quote:Originally Posted by HulkSmashto add to why people don’t like it, lack of plot, and my Deadpool at his finest comment. What could be more “Deadpool” than a half cocked plan full filling self indulgence, causing havoc as “necessity” with spur of the moment decisions of an ever declining mental state of Wade Wilson; who eventually saves the day from sheer luck or being so out of his mind that the last crazy idea happens to work because he’s so selfish that it doesn’t matter if he destroys himself along with the entire universe and he does it anyway. After all; Deadpool is self aware of his artificial existence, he knows what the writers have already set in place as an outcome and the journey/actions doesn’t matter because the end has already been written. The only thing more Deadpool than to have been written intentionally as plotless would be if Reynolds ad-libbed the entire script and I have no doubt that plenty was ad-libbed due to Reynolds passion and understanding of the character. Love it or hate; Reynolds is the Deadpool and don’t think anyone could portray the character better. |

I saw it yesterday and loved it! It was like an X title fan's wet dream. When Gambit showed up, I'm thinking back to Deadpool 2 and the failure of the X-Force, but damn. They knocked Gambit out of the park! My favorite parts of the movie... Cassandra Nova's powers The "Wolverines" (Cavil Cameo) Johnny Storm Dogpool When Wolverine pulls out the mask. And GAMBIT! This was one of my favorite Marvel movies to date. A total delight from start to finish. |
