So in the 80's when I had a bunch of Marvel subscriptions delivered by mail were those newsstand or direct?

One thought is that it's easier to label the book as either newsstand or direct as not to miss a notation.

The only thing to come into question would be the multi-pack books. Technically, I think those would be direct editions, but I think the cgc has started labeling them as multi-pack editions.

Is it the guy from Hero Restoration? Or Mark Wilson?

Mark Wilson and Matt Nelson should fight each other in a cage.

Winner gets west stephan.

I had Marvel subscriptions through most of 1985 and the issues I received were all newsstands. I don't know if that was the case with subscriptions through the rest of the '80s.

All I know for sure is I use his son's (David wilson) at collectors comics service all the time.

His Featured Auctions 4 times per year with only 5% commission is exceptional to me

I watch his YouTube a lot. Primarily for price increase or decrease.

Iā€™m at SDCC preview night and PSA has some of the slabs on display. I was able to handle the cases. They are surprisingly heavy. They have an inner well that has an almost frosted appearance to them and they hold the book securely in place. Overall, I really liked the case but the weight canā€™t be dismissed if youā€™re planning on carrying any number of them with you

@dielinfinite thanks - so they are indeed larger than current slabs?

@dielinfinite that looks kinda cool with that book .

@poka Not really larger, at least not noticeably. They are just surprisingly heavy and they feel sturdy. They feel more ā€œassembledā€ than the CBCS cases, which have a smoother, unibody feel to them. They feel like an iphone 4 compared to the CBCSā€™ iphone 6, if that makes any sense

Let them enter the game.

Mortal kombat added how many ninja characters over the years but everyone still out here playing as scorpion or subs.

Thanks. Regular slab (with standard comic) is about 1 lbs. How much heavier do you think we are talking about?

@poka Iā€™d like to think Iā€™m fairly accustomed to the weight of a graded comic in hand but itā€™s hard for me to quantify. I was surprised by the weight. If I had to guess, Iā€™d say they were maybe 25% heavier at most.

Curious about their pricing. I wonder if they'll try and undercut competitors or just blend right in.

The label says Keth #3, silver Surfer variant. So I would assume that's what it is. But I don't know anything about it other than what it says.
