@HeinzDad - I just fried the venison loin meat in a pan with some butter. It was pretty juicy (and tasty too).

It looks awesome. I just asked because the only deer I’ve ever had was a sausage or ground mix. Maybe 100% ground with fat added. Needless to say, I’ve never had whole muscle venison. |

We aren't avid Costco shoppers but they have stuff we do like. This is one that is a staple I'd like to share if its not familiar. ![]() I wish @EbayMafia could see this hack. I diced up some leftover scampi, and added cheese, and black olives. Off the chain. Bobs your uncle!!!!!! ![]() |

Probably doesn't appeal to very many people but I like them for a snack on the go and they don't need to be refrigerated. For pickling I'm just using the brine from a jar of Famous Dave's spicy pickle chips and adding some canned whole jalapenos. The Instant Pot is great for making hard-boiled eggs. They peel so much easier than when boiled. |

@EbayMafia love pickled eggs! I have found that if you bring water to a boil and then add the eggs, boil for exactly 15 min, remove and run cold water over them for a few minutes while shaking them inside the pot they peel incredibly easy. I do mine this way and they practically fall out of the shell.

@DrWatson - Have you ever ordered a mashed potato bowl at KFC? It’s like that - chunks of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and cheese. Very tasty, but probably not very healthy.

I wish I still had old people around. There was a thing..I can't spell it..but it was pigs feet boiled with spices to make a jelly to spread on toast. My Baba (grandmother) made it once when I was in my teens...I always try just about anything at least once (can lead to trouble/fun) . I didn't appreciate the pigs feet jelly then but would like to try it again!! |

My pickled egg jar kind of looks like an aquarium that hasn't been cleaned in a while:![]() Joe Josts is a historic bar in Long Beach famous for several things including their pickled eggs. They always serve them on a bed of pretzel sticks: https://daisysworld.net/2011/08/03/joe-josts-pickled-eggs/ |

Does anyone else use a food saver/seal vac? I had a couple low budget ones a long time ago and finally bought this one.![]() It's been a great machine and I've used it a lot but I feel like it shouldn't be a goner yet. I'm not sure how many years its been, maybe 6? I'm wondering if I should replace it or upgrade. |
