Agree! Maple bacon is my favorite, but can't go wrong with the classic old fashioned.

In Canada, old fashioned is just fried dough....no glaze. it's a sweet "bread" but no glaze....it's tasty.

I had an old fashioned in Cooperstown, NY, once. The donut shop sold both glazed and non-glazed versions. But, yea, I remember it being just what @GAC said... just fried dough, slightly sweetened.

Stay on target. https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/540840-crossover-fail/

I'm not sure how one goes from a CBCS 9.8 to a CGC 7.5 but it sounds like someone funked this dude's book up. I'm not buying that the crease was always on the back cover and CBCS somehow missed it.

Just goofing off but they deleted it.

It's certainly possible. They've missed worse. But I would tend to doubt it just because things like that get made public. So...based on public mention/odds, I'd say there's a much bigger chance CGC damaged it while in their possession than CBCS missing it.

Can't eat old fashioned myself. To plain still bad for you. If I'm eating a donut it's gonna be worth it.

I was in banned camp over at the cgc board so my posts are being viewed by moderators before being public posts....I'm not confident this post will make it passed the mods.

This is in response to the OP who got a cgc 7.5 from a cbcs 9.8 and he only collects cgc.

Here is a pick of a pine cone, it’s like a glazed donut and a cinnamon roll had a baby! Old fashioned are a denser and more moist donut made with sour cream or buttermilk, at least the ones I’ve had..

That certainly does look like a pine cone. I've never seen a doughnut like this before. Sounds good though.

If CGC is monitoring this thread, best to have different id's on each board system. Usually a good idea in general, not just in the comics world.

@ComicNinja0215 We're good at multi-tasking.

1. Donuts are awesome. I grew up with old fashioned being glazed.

2. CGC is a dumpster fire that is purging the accountability of its conduct. And they definitely damaged that prior CBCS 9.8 book at some point in the process. Or they mixed up that book with another during the encapsulation process. Or they printed the wrong label. Or they're using blind graders who are just guessing for each book. All options are possible at this point.

I hope whoever owns that book doesn't come to the cbcs forum. I don't want to deal with any numbskull that's so oblivious they would re-slab something, especially a 9.8, with cgc.

It would be nice if the OP of the thread gave an indication of whether the back cover crease was present when the book was still in the CBCS case. The way it's presented, it's unclear whether he thinks CBCS overgraded the book or CGC damaged the book.

Yes, it's possible either scenario happened. Cbcs makes mistakes, just not at the alarmingly high rate that cgc does.

Thanks esaravo. It's certainly very friendly here, which I like. I did give it a go some years back, but the software doesn't allow me to do what I want to do. I don't suppose there are any plans for CBCS to migrate to a more adaptable forum is there?

It is patently absurd that CBCS what little money it costs to create a traditional message board forum.

Now that CGX is dropping the ball harder than ever before, CBCS should capitalize on this opportunity…

DitchDarebheit created a tradal forum board a few years ago as a *side project* , FFS.

@stevericketts, please kick this idea up the totem pole.
