True, but I have to say it's nice they're finally using promo codes. After all those years having to write on your submission form that there's a promo going on...or that you have vouchers.

$50 says there's one of these on the front counter..

If you think I threw it out and got a new pill, vote 2 check marks.

If you have a "custom remark" or alternative scenario, please leave 3 check marks and add a post.

Answer tomorrow.

The votes are in - 5,4,2 respectively. It was option 1, so 5 people got it right. Also could add the 2 who voted option 3. I wiped off the pill and downed it with a glass of water.

In my defense, my wife is a neat freak, and it was within the 5 second rule.

Joey, is this still ongoing? Or was this more of a problem in the past? How recently would you say CBCS misplaced something you sent to them?

@GAC And that's what did it for me. I was told that this was normal and causing no damage to the book. Everyone makes mistakes and bad things happen but a mistake repeated more than once; is a decision.

Exactly, who says that?? It's not just curving either. I have a few books that are crinkled.

It has been A little while. The books that were lost were very hard to replace books, in fact, one of them was very expensive since I have not heard from the CBCS rep I was nailing with or the original owners of the book. I am just going to assume that The books were never found. All of this happened even with confirmed receipt of the package showing that CBCS signed for it. I give both companies a grace period of something is misplaced, Cgc has consistently found it sometimes many months later, but CBC has never recovered these books.

I make my living pressing books, so I really don’t care where they go to get graded, but when asked my opinion, I will give it. And regarding inner wells I believe that CBCS and Cgc can learn some thing from their only other competitor. Having cracked out the inner wells from all three companies I feel that that one is the safest to Permanently house a book in.

Bah, who cares?

*CFP does shoddy work with TAT averaging well over a year.

Here’s a thread detailing a litany of bad experiences with using CFP, I can personally tell you that CFP doesn’t bother with spot pressing and crushed the spines of several high grade silver age keys I sent them…*

*Note:
CFP actually does very good work and everything I just wrote in this post is untrue. See true linked thread.

I have been pressing my own books since 2016, I only used CCS twice and CFP once, than I started subbing my own books.

The one time, the last time I used CGP press my books, the last time I used a pressing service before doing the work myself, CFP did excellent work.

As far as answering your actual question, I know that Joe used to pass along his CBCS dealer discount to his clients, but I don’t know if that applies now.

I just checked his site and it appears as though he does, but he can say for sure.

My shitpost above was intended as comedic relief, given the nature of this thread.

In all seriousness, CFP does top notch cherry work and his feedback in that CGC thread and elsewhere, speaks for itself 🍒🍻
