Over the weekend a group stole a box full of graded cards worth around $2 million. Police are investigating, a lot of big cards, surveillance video pics are out, they cased this guys booth for 2 days before attempting it. They are offering a $70,000 reward. clickable text |

2 million dollars in sports cards. Is that normal for sports cards dealers to have that much value in their booth at one of these things. You would think they would have them locked up in a display case. Not for some guy to just be able to grab them and walk away with em

Dang. I would not even bring it to a con… But with clear video like this, these guys are toast. Just because of their value, the FBI should be involved. Local PD must make the request though. |

The dealer had a large booth with three people working and keeping an eye on everything. There was a coordinated heist as the three workers, on separate corners of the booth, were distracted by three different decoys. With a window of a few seconds, a forth person stepped behind the booth and casually walked away with the case. As soon as he was clear, the three accomplices immediately headed for the exit. It was very planned and coordinated. They'll get caught. |

That's a real shame. I used to deal sports cards back in the day. I had a whole stack of football cards get stolen from me at a show and I kept them under a closed case during the show. I was pretty upset when I found them missing. I can't imagine how this level of theft must feel.
