I was able to get really nice copies of Adventure Comics #432-436 (Spectre issues) but I never saw #431 or #437 through #440. I never saw a Swamp Thing #1. ☹️ And it would been have been nice to see more Phantom Strangers and Teen Titans. Still, it was a helluva run while it lasted, that's for sure. |

@DWeeB1967 I got a 433 so there must have been 2 copies of that. There were no Swamp Thing 1 in the collection. Not a single issue which was strange. Not sure about the teen titans. The phantom strangers, Witching hours and Spidey super stories u kind of grabbed them as they were mostly single copy issues. Even those I didn't get all of them as copies were sold before I could see them. There were a few books that sold the day they would come into the store. A couple of regulars would turn up every Thursday. I missed out seeing half a dozen mid grade timely golden age. Spideys including 129 that was a single copy. The Batman 241 and other books. There was only a couple of issues of House of secrets and no 92. No Hulk 181, 182 but there was a Hulk 180 that came and went. I think 3 copies of New Gods 1 for some reason. Very strange yet unique collection. |

Absolutely, @southerncross. Very strange collection. As I (and others) have said before, thanks to you for turning us on to this collection. It was lots of fun. I spent way too much money but got some really nice books. |

I've only graded 6 books that I bought from this collection (out of maybe 30). My two Hero for Hire #1s came back really nice: 9.8 and 9.6. I already traded away the 9.6. My two Demon #1s came back as a 9.8 and a 9.2. I'm considering auctioning the 9.8 since it has a pretty obvious miswrap. My two Kamandi #1s came back 9.8 and 8.0. |

WOW!! SWEET!!! I'm hoping for 9.8's on both. That Demon #1 9.8 should bring in a nice chunk of change too. |

That’s the problem. They’re all high grade Why is that a problem? From what I've seen the "Grumpy Old guy" has had at most (20) copies of each comic book. That means (20) people will have a chance at a really good grade. |

@Rafel, I think @CFP_Comics was responding to your suggestion to "keep the high graded ones and sell/trade the lower graded ones." If all the books are high grade, then he can't sell/trade the lower grade books because there are none. That's why he's going to have a problem parting with some of the books. |

Quote:Originally Posted by DWeeB1967 Yeah those were mostly one offs but there was the odd double like this book. Unfortunately I never saw a issue 1, there was a issue 1 from Witching hour. And early on there was two copies of this issue which I bought both. The condition of these two books look so sweet. |
