| While we don't know the plot line yet, IF there is no Norrin Rad as Silver Surfer, I am, well, beyond words that I can place in this forum, other than to say that's some male bovine excrement. Really hoping that they forgot or will announce in the coming weeks that someone like Alan Ritchson or Dwayne Johnson IS cast as Silver Surfer and that Shalla Bal Surfer is the antagonist. | I could be totally wrong, but this movie clearly seems to be set in a different time and likely different part of the multiverse. No one knows how Marvel is going to intergrate the FF into the current timeline and universe. Maybe they're saving Norrin Radd for the 616 universe along with a different version of Galactus. Or maybe Marvel is just looking to piss off its fan base. That's happened before too. I'll be curious to see if they can actually make a good FF movie. |

| With a multiverse of branched timelines they can do anything, tell a story from the perspective of any of them, and "logically" get away with it. I'm a huge Silver Surfer fan, but I accepted a black Nick Fury whose origin wasn't anchored in World War Two. If they tell a good story well, then I won't care if Shalla Bal ends up as Herald of Galactus. I can imagine a few timelines where that might "logically" happen in a way that doesn't demean or diminish Norrin Radd. We'll see, but like @power_struggle55 I'm willing to give it a chance. |

| don't forget they made an very old Asian man (ancient one) into a middle ages white woman and no one had a problem. I for one don't care for changes like this if it works out in the end. they decided to make silver surfer's wife become Galactus' herold...something different. one thing I can see is her being a love interest for Johnny. as he did a thing for Norma Rae (Nova) so maybe combining the two |

| Shouldn't it be expected at this point to swap out everything? Call it what you will but it is going to keep happening. Comic book fans and readers are small potatoes in the grand scheme of these films and shows (the grand scheme is to make money). While I don't believe the work will resonate with me, I do believe it is done for the purpose of appealing to the general masses who are going to plunk down money to watch whatever the Mouse puts to screen (big or small). I chose a while back not to indulge in most of the post-Endgame MCU fare as it was becoming stale and directionless to me. Everything felt the same with some nuggets of worthwhile stuff in it. As the TV stuff goes, I loved the first few episodes of WandaVision, thought Loki was interesting, and She-Hulk had its moments. As for the films, most looked like I wouldn't want to see them. It also takes a lot of effort to keep up with all the happenings since most stuff ties to some bigger picture. I have my comics and other media that can be faithful if I don't want to see the new, adapted stuff. | ||
