Ok, so I sent in a 10 book order that included a copy of Batman Damned #1...They told me that they had to break it into a separate order because it was a magazine size book.

I got charged shipping for two separate orders, which hadn't anticipated when I sent the books in (Extra 40 US)....

Both orders just entered grading today at the same time.

Can they not ship them back to me in the same order so I can save money on shipping and also save the Fedex headache of brokerage twice? (I'm in Canada). Do they ship out from different locations or departments? Just looking for some clarification.

Not sure how it works with combination orders.

I don’t know the shipping specifics, but I would hope they would ship them together.

I'm not certain of the reason. I think it has something to do with storing a batch of comics while waiting for others to get graded.

@Paulbg2000 I dropped off comics and one magazine size comic.

They used two different orders forms, one for the comics and one for the magazine.

And they arrived in two separate boxes.

My understanding is...if the submission forms are seperate so is the shipping.

The FAQ says multiple tiers. I'm not sure if that applies to multiple slab types.

I also found this funny:

Strangely the forum is not inundated with random youtube videos and as a result threads aren't taking minutes to load.....hmmm....what's different?

My first time using this thread to ask a question. So here it comes....

If Batman was a delusional pychopath, would we then call him Batshit Crazyman?

I get my bags & board from https://mattsbaseball.com/store/
Matt also has mailers boxes and other collectible materials. He may also have the magazine boxes.
If he doesn't, message him, he can get them.

I have the BCW graded book boxes. Some people are using the plastic boxes as they are stronger.

I haven't bought boxes recently but I get BCW bags and boards through Amazon. The price hasn't really changed since at least 2018, according to my purchase history.

Anyone watch the openning ceremony of the Olympics?

Not sure if this is treading the "no politics" line but any thoughts on the "Last Supper" show?

First, I find it alarming that so many topics are now considered political. Also alarming how many forums have to support that broadening of scope and restrict discussion. Further perpetuates an echo chamber.

Who is to blame? Many of us…

Sad state.

To address your post (and knowing all of this is likely to be deleted… heck, I delete half my posts already) I think it was in general poor taste and poorly executed at the same time. If intended to provoke (and there are some convoluted and inconsistent comments from the art director that this was the case) it was done in a rather lazy, cowardly and predictable way… meaning even on an artistic basis it fails (my subjective view).

This coming from someone who loves satire and enjoys a very wide range of art and media, including “controversial” stuff. It failed on both criteria that I think it may be appropriately judged by: as good entertainment for the context and as art.

Grade: F

I agree. I don't like art or statements that appear to be made purely to provoke anger and not thoughts or discussion. Its lazy and predictable. This was clearly meant to make an institution and its followers angry. There's no respect in the art. It's not thoughtful criticism....its purely mockery. I'm not a religious person at all but everyone knows the profound meaning the Church has on its followers. This was an insult to that.

Can you imagine the reaction if the insult went the other way? lol!!

1 magazine box with tax $68.04, plus $40 for shipping... $108
If I want it in 3 day ship, add $262
Total for one magazine box with 3 day ship, $330!!!!

I'd say costs have gone up.

It's easy to make your own.

All materials to make are found at the dollar store.

2 foam boards
1 roll duct tape
a ruler...a meter stick is preferred
a box cutter
$5 + your time: 25 minutes.

I make my own short boxes because the prices are so rediculous.

For those that didn't, search YouTube for "Olympics 2024: Paris Opening Ceremony".

I thought it was uncalled for, disrespectful and IMO had nothing to do with the Olympics. I could say more, but as GAC said, we don't want to get political.

Good point...I also blame the IOC. They're cowards for allowing this and by association, complicit in its message.

Is it 68 for one box of 68 for a 20 count bundle?
