I know it would be expensive but I think it would be cool if kirbys old buddy did the spare book. It would probably be impossible to do every picture as not all the art is of high detail. But as much as he felt like doing with only one picture as a mandatory. (The juggernaut I recently acquired)

What do you guys think?

I don't know him but Steve Rude is still around and probably doing commissions.

The inker probably thinking is Mike Royer

There's a forum member here who has a few of his books signed, and lives near him and knows him personally.
I'm not sure their name off my head.

If he gets in contact with you maybe float the idea of one page or maybe a partial page ink with a signature.

Just remember he was inking Kirby in the 70s and is no spring chicken.

And as a artist he may not be able to or comfortably do the work, of only a little with not time rushed.

Good luck.

The forum member is Siggy and, yes, he's friends with Mike Royer.

@Bronte Royer has a website where he can be contacted about commissions and such. Not sure if he's still doing them

not so much a question as a frustrated WHY!!!???? just why!!??

frustrated with fun with cars....

I have a 2014 VW Golf Diesel that had a check engine light come on...now... I can read and follow instructions ...so that means I can basically strip my car to the frame with a Haynes or Chilton manual...or I guess kids today who can't read get to use Youtube!!!

Anywhooo.. I'm no gear head but I got my code reader and determined I had the ability to fix this issue myself - some problem with my Intercooler (part of the turbo system)
pulled off the hoses - cleared out some goop that had condensed.....code clear!!...or so I thought...

a few hundred KM later...a new code!! looks like a sensor that may have been fouled from the prior issue....but I hate cars...have no desire to crawl under again and pull and clean the sensor

I miss the old days with simpler engines and fewer sensors

No answer as to why the sensor cleared then kicked back on...I will wait a few months till I change my oil again and do from under the car vs my normal pump out from up top...so I can re-pull intercooler hoses and see if I can find this sensor to give it a clean too.....

Looking for some info on this and usually the pool of knowledge runs deep here
It's an aluminum sign roughly the size of a comic. Nothing printed on the back. I Googled it and checked on eBay but couldn't find anything

I'm not sure of your device but when I try to go into that thread the majority of the time mine freezes everything up and then resets.
I am usually on my cel phone when it happens.

Has anyone else noticed the high prices of bags, boards and boxes lately??? I'm having a hard time finding boxes for graded books and I can't even find boxes (cardboard) for graded magazine. Where are the non-expensive sites???

Any recommendations for high ceiling fans or are they all the same and I just have to choose a longer downrod length?
Post 142 IP   flag post
If I could, I would. I swear. DrWatson private msg quote post Address this user
The fans are typically the same. It's the length of the down rod that varies, sold separately. About the only way to mess up is if you purchase one that is strictly flush mounted to the ceiling.

I steer clear of the remotes. That's usually what tears up first in the rental cabins. Pull chains and direct wired to light switches is the way to go.

I do prefer Hunter fans. They seem better made than Harbor Breeze.

What's the difference between PRISTINE and GEM MINT? They were both graded at the same time (7 away from each other).

I believe CGC followed Beckett here. Beckett grades include a “black label 10” to reflect a card with perfect sub grades. I assume this is CGC’s attempt to position a grade in that same category…

What codes did you have before you took things apart, and what codes do you have now?

I'm an ASE Master Tech, with additional certifications for light diesel, and I used to work on VW diesels about a decade ago. Might be able to give some pointers.

You also use a topsider for oil changes? I am 50/50 on it… have used it a few times for cars I don’t care to drain 100% and/or can’t put on my 4 post lift.

How long have you been using that approach?

As for the VW diesel… those engines are bulletproof at their core but those turbo systems and related sensors are very finicky. Had a tdi jetta years ago and it threw one code after the other. The most common one was mass airflow … dirt build up and other issues. Going off memory, but I might start there first.

Ok, so I sent in a 10 book order that included a copy of Batman Damned #1...They told me that they had to break it into a separate order because it was a magazine size book.

I got charged shipping for two separate orders, which hadn't anticipated when I sent the books in (Extra 40 US)....

Both orders just entered grading today at the same time.

Can they not ship them back to me in the same order so I can save money on shipping and also save the Fedex headache of brokerage twice? (I'm in Canada). Do they ship out from different locations or departments? Just looking for some clarification.

Not sure how it works with combination orders.

I'm not certain of the reason. I think it has something to do with storing a batch of comics while waiting for others to get graded.
